So I'm kind of sick of the disadvantages I've been facing as a 175 STR, 200 DEX, 175 CHA, 200 LUK player since the cap was raised to 250. All of my weapons are spears. How effective would I be if I drained my STR and put it into DEX, CHA, and LUK?

It does affect your damage a lot since ranged weapons get a lot of damage from STR. Unfortunately I can't think of any Ranged weapons that don't use STR so a lot of damage has to come from your pets and guests. I have the build in question and I have been trying just like using status effects (burns) to make up for it. Battles are a lot slower but at least you can hit stuff.

I'm worried about DPT though, because I tried fighting this week's void boss, and even with the low hit rate, I was doing okay until I ran out of SP. I'm not sure if I'd be able to match his regeneration if I got rid of my STR. And I didn't have a guest, which would've drained my SP even faster.

I'm wondering if I should just make my second character already. A pure warrior would be a lot easier to deal with.

I struggled with my DPT too which is why I went the status effect route with Burns. The monster does have Clawback so it's not the best strategy to go all out damage either. Honestly, this boss's abilities are suited towards a defensive build (Light burn that deals monster, Clawback).

Do you have any of the Stat Trainers on your estate? You can now Untrain and Train stats pretty easily now so you could just give it a whirl and see how it is. It does help that we have so many weapons these days that can switch between M/R/M so you don't even have to completely overhaul your inventory to test different set ups.

SP though is a little difficult especially with guests so I do agree that's something to be more aware of with a 250 DEX/CHA/LUK build.

I highly suggest you make your second character a pure warrior.

There are some bosses in this game that are more easier to take down for certain builds.

My Neko beastmage is best for tanky monsters, while my pure Wherewolf warrior is best for glass cannons.

Use that build if you want the majority of your damage to come from pets and guests. I kill most enemies in 1 or 2 turns with it but you need specific equipment like foam finger, bard of war, high damage pets, strawberry shieldcake, etc. Use quadforce to boost your str to 250 if you want to attack. The build is basically a pure beastmaster. If you can pull it off I highly recommend the build.

Where can I find some better burns? I tried using the Paladin armor's burns, but that didn't help a whole lot. Admittedly, that might just be my stats.

The three other characters I have planned will all be built with the 250 cap in mind. It's just this character that I'm having such a hard time with, because I finalized the stats way before the cap was raised, and until the Stat sweep rolls around, I won't really know which direction I should take it.

Foam Finger is a melee weapon though, and BoW is a Golden Giftbox special. I'm still in college, so I'd like to keep the payments to a minimum. And I didn't think that there was any difference in the total DPT for lvl 150 pets outside of MCs.

Maybe this is all a moot point anyways, considering that I'll be changing my build once Stats are swept?

I think Neko armors provide the best burns for Beastmaster builds. It's really great for 250 DEX/CHA/LUK builds since burn damage does not rely on stat bonuses and pets/guests are the ones to inflict the burn.

I think 250 DEX/CHA/LUK builds are pretty solid. You should go with it. You can beat the current Void boss (and many other bosses) using PR, Healing Seeds and Geocastellum stacking (it's pretty OP and would probably get fixed some time). For normal mobs you can just rely on your pet/guest damage + burn/bleed from Neko armor. It's not the fastest damage dealer but it's good enough.

Foam Finger is just used to boost pet and guest damage, Bard of War to add celerity to your pets and guest, Strawberry Shieldcake to further boost their damage (additional CHA and Pet Lucky Strikes) and skip your turn. With this build, you're basically not going to attack yourself (or you could also use the Bard of War skill which uses CHA for stats)
