I was thinking about possible new classes because of another forum post and it hit me how much this game has for potential in new classes, pure cosmetic customization, and a hybrid of both in trinkets/relics/artefacts (whatever they're called) influencing both the looks of a class and a skill or two, and maybe a passive. Ergotth suggested a rose technomancer and a few others recommended rose custimizations for the base classes, and that got me thinking that all classes could have rose versions of themselves. Alternatively there couyld be Rose versions for some, and anti-rose, as in chained by the rose or wearing broken chains, for others, such as death knight, Kathool Adept, and Zarbie. Also, unlocking Rose versions, and maybe Vind and Gold factions, could be tied to having all of their respective loot from these elemental wars we've been having. Ergotth also recommended Wargoth themed Altean custimization (which would go great with my current setup), but, additionally, we could go with a comsic theme that could be unlocked after that one Vind quest involving the Alrean Queen, and a Void theme that would be what the Alteans could have become if the escaped into the deepest darkest parts of space to escape Wargoth. Also, like brotherinlaw said, we could have Doom and DragonLord (an undead DragonLord Deathknight sounds like it would be pretty awesome) versions of all classes as well, which made me think we could have Chaos and Destiny versions, too. brother in law also recommended mechquest looks for the Ancient Exosuit, GPS, and Technomancer. I like the idea for the "one-piece" mechs being used for Ancient Exosuit and GPS, and Technomancer could have altered versions of the custimizable ones. Also, we could have the base classes, or versions of the base classes like the dragon base classes or maybe even the Altean base classes could get "de-meched" looks of the three mechs in their respective house: WolfBlade, MystRaven, and RuneHawk. "DE-Meched" meaning your character found smaller, you-sized units, and stripped the outer armor personal use. Doom Knight could get a custimization set that is based off of the Sepulchure Mech. The Entropy class could get a Chaos, Dage's Undead Legion, and/or Nulgath's Archfiend looks, all of hich could be applied to any of the other classes as well (especially Doomknight). Pumkin Lord and Kathool Adept could get some solid joke cosmetics. Picture this: Spaghetti and meatballs Pumkin Lord and Ramen Kathool Adept. And if you get the Gnarly Guitar of Doom with the Student class, you get a Bon Scott High Voltage cover-themed look. As for the ACC, it could get a Baconmancer look, a Breakfastmancer look, or even a BBQmancer look. Also, it could get a look for each of the main Greek gods influenced by a different food. The Archevist Class could get a Hacker/computer/tech aesthetic. Their Book of Lore could be changed to a laptop, and the animations could be changed to a tech/simulation style of attacks. Ninja could get a shogun and an Oni look that each could look great by themselves or mixed with what already exists. Pyromancer could easily get a custimization that fully engulfs the exposed skin in flames, or have clothes/armor of pure flames that could be color custom Technomancer could also get a Alchemist custimization as an alternative to all the high tech. A number of looks that could be classes could be tied to gear that would affect specific classes. A Berzerker look based off the Beta Berzerer from AQW would be AWESOME, but if a Berzerker class isn't going to be implimented in the future because a full skill list can't be formed, it could be purely cosmetic or be tied to a artifact/relic/trinket/thingy that would alter a few skills and give a passive that could give a damage boost based on the amount of health you have missing. It culd be tied to the Warrior class, or maybe even DragonLord and Doomknight, even if those two just get it aesthetically . Necromancer could get a trinket that could make it look like a Beast Master instead, and change the summoning skill animation to summoning wildlife. Dracomancer could be given to DragonLord or even Dragonslayer. Assassin could be tied to Rogue, Ninja, or Ranger. Elamentalist could use Mage or Dragonlord as well. I'm going to try sketching some of these ideas to get a clearer view and better express whats in my head, might end up posting them somewhere at some point.
