Type 'other' attacks (Full Version)

Primate Murder -> Type 'other' attacks (5/27/2021 0:58:17)

According to this post, Brightslayer Dirk has been changed to a type 'other' attack. What does that mean, practically speaking?

Some testing shows that it no longer applies element-shifting effects like Bloodzerker's toggle, but does it still get the damage boost from one? What about armor lean? Stats?

A type "other" attack is an attack that does not get boosted or otherwise affected by the player's items. Items that give a boost to your attacks always check if the "attacker" is "player", which is not the case for type "other" attacks.
I'm unsure if an "other" attack can be affected by armor lean, but I don't think it does. They (can) still use your stats, though.
Brightslayer Dirk still uses the player's stats.
