I never really yave thought to this until someone recently mentioned it.

But is there any fundamental difference between burn and poison? Just seems like the same thing with a different tag so they are only buffed by the same named status.

The only "clear" difference between the two is most Poison equipment does not work on "undead", "golem", "robot", "mecha", and "incorporeal" enemy types.

Burn does not have such limitations. Based on my experience, Burn works on nearly all but a couple of enemies in the game.

Another is, Poison can do harm damage.

Other than those two, they are more or less the same.


They are way too similar. Poison seems quite inferior to Burn. I don't see much reason to use it.
