The Sword For Other Monsters
The Sword For Some Monsters

*You are in the valley of Greenguard; you fight your way through various creatures while searching for the monster in the valley; eventually you find a white werewolf with a medallion around its neck and two swords carried on its back.*

<Character>: Stop right there!
???: What?
???: Oh.

???: Hi there.
<Character>: You speak?
???: Very observant of you. Now get out of here!
<Character>: I cannot do that! I'm here to do a job!
???: So am I, and the little buggers keep giving me the slip.
<Character>: Little... buggers? I won't let you hurt those kids!
???: Kids? What are you talking ab–
<Character>: TAKE THIS!

*The white werewolf hangs its head as it is forced to fight you.*

???: *sigh*

???: Fine...

  • Battle! - begins battle with White Werewolf.
  • Heal - fully replenishes HP, MP, and potions.
  • Run Away! - returns to Swordhaven (Book 3).

*After the battle, the defeated white werewolf seems impressed by your abilities in combat.*

???: Hey... Not bad. But you're barking up the wrong tree.
    <Character>: What do you mean?

*The white werewolf stands up to reveal the truth.*

???: I'm not hunting kids! I'm hunting the Sneevils that have been attacking the workers here. Stealing their boxes and dumping all their tools!
<Character>: You're here to help? Why would a werewolf care?
???: There's your second mistake, I'm not exactly a werewolf.
<Character>: "Not exactly?" Then what are you? WHO are you?
Rivalt: My name is Rivalt, I'm a monster hunter by trade.
    <Character>: A werewolf hunting monsters?
Rivalt: Again... Not exactly a werewolf. It's a long story but I can change my form at will. I do this when I need to track down a monster.
<Character>: Then why didn't you turn back when I met you?!
Rivalt: You didn't exactly give me time to explain myself, did you?
    <Character>: Oh... right.
Rivalt: And now I cannot hunt down the sneevils to stop the attacks.
<Character>: Don't worry about that, I have plenty of experience with sneevils!
Rivalt: The way you handled yourself in battle, I have no trouble believing that.
<Character>: Do you know where they are?

*Rivalt points to the right, signifying where the Sneevils are.*

Rivalt: They're just ahead of here, good luck... whatever your name is.
<Character>: Oh apologies, my name is <Character>!
Rivalt: I see... <Character>, may we meet again.

*After you part ways with Rivalt, you manage to track down the Sneevils, who have fortified themselves in boxes in anticipation of your arrival; defeat them to reach the quest completion portal.*

  • Hmmm... footprints, both big and... child size? Odd...
  • All kinds of tools, they seem to have been thrown out of something without much thought.
  • Fur? Did not expect that. It smells like... a dog?
  • What is a box doing here? Is it just litter, or...?
  • What a rare sight, a minx fairy circle!
  • Child-sized footprints and something animal-like!
