As long as you log in and win a battle, you'll have a chance to receive tokens. Therefore if you just started, you wouldn't have been in the pool to receive anything. Unfortunately token donations have been slow as of late as we're in the midpoint of the contest and the contest is running much longer this time due to people asking the staff to extend it so that they do not miss the event. Most of the donators did so at the beginning of the event and have mostly stopped donating since. But on the bright side, there should be an influx of donations come near the end of the contest so you just have to be patient and wait until the end.
