Looks like EbilCorp is going to be up to it's old tricks again. The last time we had a war with EbilCorp, they tried to commit Operation Gameocide by sending their monsters into each of the Artix Entertainment games. The last time we saw EbilCorp, Zorbak in his alias of Mr. Z became the new CEO while Chairman Platinum is revealed to have started Slamazon which is a spoof of Amazon.com.

He's still modeled after the real-life guy that portrays him in live action who was in the Operation: Gameocide videos and that convention that Artix Entertainment was involved in.

So last night's release had us celebrating the birthdays of Memet and three others as their NPCs counterparts are seen. While one of them I recall from the future Yokai Isle release, it's the other two I haven't seen in the game before.

I do not know when Aranx's birthday is, but we still have to do the next part of that release involving the monster we couldn't slay then.

To recap, the Moon, the Sun, and Judgement are part of the Major Arcana are part of the Tarot Card pack. Darkon mentioned them to be primordial beings and even made a reference to The World.

Mi was introduced and was shown to have a moth antenna and retractable moth wings. All that's left is Do.

I was surprised that we had to fight La. She was transformed into Darkon's shield.

For those who are at Level 80, King Drago's Bowmaster and Executioner are considered Boss Shields that you'll have to take out before you can take down King Drago.

We now have fought Ti and La. Who knows how long it will be before we have to fight the rest of the Scales.

Perhaps we shall see Do and Do in the next release with a chance that they'll be twins like Bubble and Bubble.

I'm not a fan of the boss fight. Focus breaks the fight, by making each bosses only gain 1 stack instead of 4. But the whole idea of "boss gains stacks equal to the number of players they hit" is just not a good idea.
I think challenge bosses should tie together a certain level of difficulty, our class gameplay, and boss mechanics that our class gameplay has to adapt to. exaltia/tyndarius/drakath did it well. against Drago (& Kala), it doesn't feel like we have any control. You just bring the right classes and fight him; and if things don't go your way, you'll wipe, so just try again until things do go your way.

but haven't actually played it yet, so can't say anything on the story yet

I think the level limit alienates too many players........

It's like they have certain challenge fights made for any seasoned players who have made their way to Level 85.

It was nice to see Chairman Platinum having regained control over EbilCorp and set up it's headquarters in Dreadrock where the different villains and villain factions hide out and meet. Chairman Platinum had to trick us into signing up Ziri, Alina, Queen Victoria, Dage the Evil, Nulgath, Swaggy, Cysero, and Gravelyn to form the EbilCorp Collective. Gravelyn was the strongest of the group. Then we had to fight the Master Chairman Platinum (a parody of the Master Control Program from "Tron") to get the contracts and destroy them causing those we were tricked into signing the contracts to get their revenge on Chairman Platinum. The players are just lucky that Gravelyn, Dage the Evil, and Nulgath were in a forgiving mood, though Nugalth will no longer sign any contracts given to him.

Next week is the EbilCorp War.

Also, we get to fight the Harvest Queen this Wednesday. The picture of her on Twitter shows that she looks like she is part-human part-pumpkin in the same way as Wisteria. Right?

EbilCorp's event is going to be on Black Friday. That was when Zorbak posed as Mr. Z and stole control of EbilCorp from him.

While there weren't any quests to accept on the map, we did get to learn that the Harvest Queen is the wife of the Great Pumpkin King from Mystcroft. Who know how those two met! I'm sure they have somewhere they live when they are not indulging in their respectful holidays.

The EbilCorp War begins tomorrow. For all we know, Chairman Platinum might plan his revenge after what happened last Friday.

The Black Friday items are great. This and Vordred's Knight make it my favorite this month

When that EbilCorp War was released, they made an executive assistant copy of Vordred. I can't say how the Shadowscythe would react to them making a copy of Vorded that they control. That would be for the AQW to decide.

Next week is when Frostval begins.
