Not sure If I should be asking for advice so early since I just recently created this character, but just wanted to get some suggestions if possible. I've checked the Wiki for a guideline and I have a good understanding of what I should be buying but I still have some questions on things such as the Cutlass vs Bloodblades and if it's worth skipping over one for the other and so on. Also, if they're any premium items that are good for this build feel free to mention them.

Looks like you have a pretty good idea of how to set your character up. If you're leaning towards spellcasting definitely pick up the cutlasses. If you don't want to spend an UR on each then bloodblades are good as well since they boost spell damage slightly too iirc. Warlics oblivion sphere is another good pick up for +50 int and +50 luk. Grakma Harbinger is also a must-have since it massively boosts your spell damage at the cost of accuracy. You also might as well grab the spell Knife to Meat you since it's only available during mogloween. That's just a few things off the top of my head that I could think of, I'm sure someone else will post with other items that are good pick-ups.

Yea, I'm going spellcasting. Just wanted to know how much weaker the Bloodblades are than the Cutlass'. The math escapes me, but if it a negligible loss, then I'm fine with fitting a couple in and going with the rest in Bloodblades. Thanks for the advice on the misc and spell cheers!

Cutlass- +28.125 spell damage. For weapon attacks, +3 bth lean and -10% damage (to pay for the spell boost)

Bloodzerker sword- +10% spell damage. +2.5% spell damage extra if in zerker armor, and another 2.5% spell damage if in same element. (fire zerker armor using fire zerker blade) But someone else can check. For weapon attacks, +25% damage. +5% more damage if using in a bloodzerker armor, and another +5% if using the same element as bloodzerker. (Fire zerker armor and fire zerker weapon) This costs 52 HP per turn, spells or weapon attack..either way.

Bloodmage blade- Exact same, except the two +2.5% add-ons to spells are if you're in bloodmage armor and same element bloodmage armor, and the same +5% weapon attacks are there as well for weapon attacks.

Cutlass doesn't require all this crazy synergy to get the most out of it with spell-casting, but it will be WAAAAAAAAAY weaker with weapon attacks. Also the zerker and bloodmage armors have their OWN HP eating costs...

What I would personally do, since you have Prime Chaos Orb, is have both. Let's say you have the fire version of everything. PCO, get fire element more favorable, and try them both. See which one you like. Maybe this will yield some better answers ....first hand knowledge and preference IMO is the best way to go. Once you learn how you wish to go, expand with whatever you decided.

Thanks for providing the numbers on those. Yea I'll try it with both for one of the elements and see which I prefer more. So much variety provided by the wiki, so I'm just trying to see what I prefer more. Based on the videos that I've seen, people use both as spellcasting(Cutlass and Bloodmage blade), but I see the blade has much more versatility.
