Zalga -> Using Battlepets without a Battlepet class equipped (12/11/2021 10:21:41)

In the Advanced Options there is now an option called "Battlepets" which "Allows your battlepet to fight along side you without a battlepet class equipped."
I tried this with Hate Wolf, my only battlepet, and it didn't work as I imagined. To be clear, the pet performed an attack animation but didn't do any damage to the enemy. It wasn't 0 damage; there was no extra hit aside from mine.
My damage wasn't increased or buffed in anyway either. The only change when turning on the option was that the battlepet now does the attack animation.
Is this intended? Is the option intended to only allow the pet's attack animation, or is this a bug and my battlepet was supposed to actually deal damage?
