I managed to deliver on the last post after some finagling with some http requests and aq API. The result? I have a "truer" ranking of the gold contest. However the data is far too large to post here, so you can see it in the paste. However, some cursory statistics that I think will interest a few people:
1. This still won't really account for anyone outside of the top 200. There may be some people out there waiting to jump...
2. I neglected apparently, to also count chests in the player's inventory, nor their current gold. As well as getting rid of potential duplicated alt characters. I will figure out how to do all of this later, although even this I doubt changes this outlook by much.
3. The biggest gainer in terms of ranks is Valent who jumps from 182nd to 10th place. The biggest loser on the other hand, is biggest loser is yup who would drop from 24th to 52nd place.
4. To be at the "real" 50th place, you need 13.5b gold. Right now the current reflected amount is 8 billion. So the real 50th place person is Katsuichi Shikyuujuuni! the ShadowWalker who currently sits at 23rd place.
5. The biggest gainer in terms of gold is Scrooge McDuck who is holding an astronomical 143b gold right now.
6. Someone remarked earlier that we'll hit 2 trillion. There's definitely enough gold that hasn't been donated yet to hit that. By my estimation there's 1,099,000,000,000 gold (+1 trillion) still waiting to be donated in addition to the 1.8t already donated as of this post. 3 trillion is definitely within the cards assuming we keep farming for the rest of the contest duration. But is 4 trillion possible? Who knows? Maybe the staff ought to give us something extra special if we do...
PS: AQ Staff, if you saw enormous data spikes on checking out character pages, that was me testing out my script. Sorry in advance.
PS2: If someone wants the source code to my script, I'll hand that out soon enough once I get those minute details out. But I really think AQ should give us access to API's because I don't have a real good way that doesn't involve massive page GREPS except for the ranking payload which sits in a convenient JSON endpoint..
PS3: If someone out there is more adept with AQ's API's and stuff, please give me a pm. Especially in regards to how I can find players outside the top 200.

Anyways, this war is advancing quite quickly compared to past Frostval delivery wars! The extra characters and estates probably have to do something with it but this is a nice change (although bad for the people who need warring for gold as highlighted above since they'll have less time to cash out). People really don't like slow wars so hopefully going forward delivery wars won't have to take forever. On the other hand wars being too fast may pose problems for the staff due to the new calculus of new warring tactics and estates so maybe in the future, the staff should consider adding waves to wars to account for both factors...
