I obtained it and tested with absolute darkness. Too many turns to get where I need to in my opinion, but the 9999 turns is nice. But that 9999 turns is limiting the growth of the blind. This game, most of the time, doesn't take very many turns. It would only comre in handy in a small small small select instances. It is nice that it's darkness, and PCO to darkness and using necromancer to inflict and heal back MP with consume bleed is a nice way to go for sure. I also tested with the new hollowborn shield, and this spell. The number of turns is 5, and IMO, thats enough turns to beat most monsters. The shield's SP skill, whiule not ideal as I hate SP cost stuff usually, does get a berserk effect on top of the blind stack so it's more powerful for obtaining blocking. I think mandate is more powerful for blocking, and gives you a fallback in choke incase you're hit...at the cost of damage..which to me I'm fine with. 30 blind at 100% earth, 60 in 2 turns. This grows a lot as earth goes up. Darkness Orb seems to grow slower as darkness resist goes up. Either way it's the same method, really, justy different elements and different spells. My #1 thing is how fast can I obtain unblockable. And then, for how long. IMO, mandate is the fastest way with dual bun barrets and roots of daw misc, and for 6 turns.. Other methods are taking the long game, and I'm just not down for that. No reason to. 2-3 casts, and then nuke ..and using grasp essence->consume bleed *is* the nuke via setting this up. It allows for full heals going into 2nd battle. Best way to do this-> 1. Absolute darkness (hold emacipator's radiance shield) 2. Eclipse shield skill (1-2 turns of like -30k, 40k+ blind) 3. Darkness orb shroud or mandate =5-6 turns of idk, 2k, 3l, 5k blind. No pets needed. No blocking build needed.
