Hey all! I'm nearing lvl 25 and am starting to think about switching classes. I have DA and my base class is Rogue. Was trying to decide between going for SoulWeaver or for Cryptic and can't seem to decide which is the better option. I play highly offensive and train high END if that sways it. Thanks!
Quick edit: I do questing primairily as well.

Cryptic is a defensive class - one of the most defensive in the game, in fact. If you want to maintain an offensive playstyle, Soulweaver would be a better choice, particularly if you pick up Baltael's Aventail.

Thanks for the input man! I'll go with SoulWeaver; the skills are definitely growing on me.

Note that neither SW nor Cryptic is particularly offensive. If you're interested in offense, I'd recommend getting Technomancer once you hit level 30 - it does way more damage than either Cryptic or SW once you lose some mana.

That being said, between the two, I'd recommend Cryptic. Without Baltael's Aventail, Soulweaver about the same amount of damage as Cryptic, but way less t1 damage for uesting. Cryptic's Throw is a super fast t1 move that does 225% damage, and its final is 250% Autocrit, which should be a similar amount of damage to SW's biggest t1 move (the 100% Damage + 300% DoT Soul Slice). They also cost less mana - Throw is 15 MP and Cryptic's Final is 25 MP, while Soulweaver's Slice is 35 MP.

Also, it's a bit weird to train a lot of END when going full offense - I'd recommend going DEX instead.

Hope this helps!

Hey, thanks for the further input! I didn't think about Technomancer to be honest, but I dig the skillset. I appreciate the mana regen. I'll look a little further into game styles for Cryptic and Technomancer to see what might fit, but the latter is looking more enticing than my previous two options.
And yeah, idk why I train high END - old habits, I suppose. But thanks so much for your input; I really appreciate the help!
