Cysero's Superstore of Savings: Reimagined Reopening!

Hey there, heroes!

This week, with Dove still on the mend from surgery, we decided to take the Reimagined release to some place with a bit less animation!

Specifically, Cysero's Superstore of Savings! (Don't try saying that five times fast!)

[image]https://cms.battleon.com/DF/images/CYSEROSTOREdn.png[/image]

Cysero's Superstore of Savings has expanded, with new vendors, old vendors, and moved vendors! Also a few new cosmetic items now available from the new Cosmetic item department! Explore, talk to the vendors, and most importantly, buy!

While we only have a few new items this week, this ongoing reorganization will allow us to better sort and update the Superstore in the future.

Also as a note, we are interested in adjusting the prices and distribution of Bag Slots in the future. However, this may not happen for a few months due to the scope of the project.

The Book of Lore has also been updated with a small makeover! Buttons have been shifted around, and the Shopping Catalog has been overhauled to provide a better and easier shopping experience- even including a direct teleport to Cysero's Superstore of Savings (Who put that green bookmark there?!)!

While this might not be the biggest content update in a while, Dove is recovering nicely, and we shall return to our regularly scheduled DragonFable with next week's Arena release!

The Mad Weaponsmith definitely got a lot of new staff, including one who was promised a return, one who had been hiding near a well, and one who just became de-seasonalized. Nothing much new besides the art (like that hidden room btw) plus the NPCs and their dialogues. The only new stuff is just a set of cosmetic weapons.

As for the upcoming bag slot price change, definitely something to look into. Always wondered why their price increased instead of remaining static.

I really liked this! Cysero's store in Book 3 was one of the few areas that didn't have an update from the Book 1 version and it was a time for upgrade! It's also good how the original version can still be accessed in Book 1.

But I guess Cysero's not faster than us after 5 years, eh?

Really looking forward to the changes in bag slot pricing.

The artwork for the newly revamped store is absolutely amazing! I love the small easter eggs tucked in the corners. Could we have more of those?

Also, not sure if it's possible but could we have a Cysero's Store House? I think that would be epic!

Definitely looking forward to this, it's certainly been one of the biggest issues with the game in the past. 20 slots might have been fine 15 years ago when there were only ~300 items in the game and one equip slot, but with the current state of the game (tens of thousands of items, 12 equip slots, multiple gear sets, utility of multiple weapons, gameplay where the stats of your gear actually matter, monetized cosmetics, storylines that require you to carry a specific item, storylines that require you to carry several items with no function for up to a year at a time) it's a ridiculous restriction that just isn't playable.
What's somehow even more player-unfriendly than monetizing inventory space of all things was the actual pricing of each slot. Maxing out just your bag space (not counting bank at all) is 85,000 Dragon Coins, a minimum of $220 USD - that's 11x the price of the actual game! Getting to the milestone of 50 slots, a workable number for an endgame player who doesn't care about cosmetics, is a bit less unreasonable at only 10,000 Dragon Coins ($40 USD) - but that's still twice the price of the actual game just to make sure one of your characters has an inventory that actually, uh, inventories.

Really glad this is going to be improved in the future, it's something that's needed to be addressed for a while.

While it wasn't a story driven release i still liked it very much. Cysero's store got reimagined and we got some new interesting NPC. As much as i love story releases i like Lore building more (reimagining, Town/Library update which btw i wish could get more update, new region discovered etc..).
Oh and i'm glad the bag system gets improved in the near future.
