The Devourer Saga - The Shadow Master We continue the ongoing project of updating one of Falerin's greatest legends - The Devourer Saga! Adding new challenges with updated tiers and rewards along the way. Your quest has taken you from Battleon to Darkovia, Granemor, Mount Eigerbuld, Krovesport, Augerthorne, and many other places. Now, just returned from Queen Safiria's dungeons with the Eye of Naab, you are ready to discover the face of... the Shadow Master! May 2022 Golden Giftboxes Just in time for the beach! The second unluckiest day of the year returns! Unwrap your own color-custom Mason Form Armor, Deatharrows Cat, Krieger Klaws, and the sinister Mason Masks. In Energy as well as the original variants! Limited-Time Shop Unlucky gear In the Limited-Time shop find spells to conjure the deadly Mason to fight by your side! His iconic machete attuned to a cursed lake, striking with the stronger of Darkness or Water damage! Also grab (carefully) your own Broken Mirror Defender. Few things are as unlucky as breaking a mirror, so when a foe strikes this shield, some of that misfortune can lash out at them! Make sure you do not open the Unfortunate Umbrella indoors, unless it's raining indoors, then you may have bigger issues to worry about. Squee Booster Pet 20K Z-Token Package! You may remember this sad little blue Moglin, spending his days discussing philosophy in Boog's Tavern. Now ready to seek out adventure, this little fella will boost the damage of all your Water attacks! 6K Z-Token Package - Spirit of Rejuvenation Misc: This ethereal charm gives you resistance to Earth attacks and the fortitude to last until Spring (+END)! Nice to be able to finally wrap up the first part. After this it's just a lot of cutscenes that can probably be skipped. Depending what route is taken you could have just a small reward for "A Day at the Inn" or just skip that and get to "The Huntress, Hunted". If only that and "Battle for the Salvation Weapons" needs updating we could then enter part 3 pretty quickly depending, which is when the real fun starts. Then we could finally get that long-awaited Nova Knight update. Which is sorely needed because we haven't had a proper Fire set in awhile. No less an MC one. Also as part of the re-do of this saga, I'm hoping they'll also update several Devourer Saga themed items like Soul Banisher, Space Girls and Cyber Suit. Soul Banisher being one of my favorites looks-wise. Maybe even bring back Drakel Disguise... Maybe even update all the drakel-themed content because a lot of the devourer saga is also the drakels as well.

Small update, but this is gonna be a Friday release because I thought refactoring a bunch of old code wouldn't take that long. Whoopsie doodle! ^^;;

Nice, Part I is finally done! Thoughts on the rewards: spoiler: Epheel's Gift is interesting. There's a risk of getting negative bonuses, but at the same time there's also room for positive bonuses too. Yet another interesting option for offensive-minded miscs. As for the Spider Leg, sounds like this is like an DL Staff. A good alternative to have if you don't want to quest constantly for the DL darkness set. Also noticed the nice UI update for Part I. I assume that the other parts when they get visited to will get the hub art updated too?

I honestly can't tell the difference with regards to the story but I do like that they chose to keep the old artwork in the cutscenes for nostalgia. The staff reward is pretty good. The misc while having unique mechanics (definitely a huge plus point for me) isn't that great for practical situations because of how random and inconsistent it is. Once again, good ideas but the execution kinda falls flat.

@ Korriban The Devourer Saga is meant to be an introduction to AQ for new players. The misc has no upkeep, which means it's effectively free 10% damage bonus against Devourer minions. Falerin's story remains untouched - it's only the monsters and the rewards that get updated.
