Red_Dragon -> Which quests give the most gold? (10/25/2022 13:03:34)

This may seem like a vague question as there are several quests that give alot of gold, but I wanted to know which quest is the most beneficial to hit 10k (10,000) gold to train my pet dragon. I don't mind repeating the quest if I have to multiple times but as long as I get a lot of gold I am alright.

Also I'm in Book 1 (oaklore keep is my hometown) and I am level 22 DA warrior player. I can't access book 2 yet. I need the coins to upgrade my pet dragon.

Hopefully its within book 1, please let me know the exact location.

The general favorite is Voltabolt's Challenge due to minimal setup required (any class capable of 1 or 2-turn killing the targets at max level with Energy-element weapon equipped). The next contender would be the Ninja Training Arena, which has a bias to classes with powerful AoEs (e.g. Chaosweaver) but definitely gives more gold compared to Volt's relative to the same span of exp acquisition (if you have a target exp per playtime). An offbeat I do use is Sporca, but it's biased to Chaosweaver due to the latter class having the skillset to deal with it in 2 turns, notwithstanding the fact that it's an endgame fight (modern solo endgame fights usually reward 1944 exp and 810 gold at level 90).

EDIT: if you need a powerful class immediately such that earning the right to use and master classes like Technomancer, Necromancer, and Dragonlord being a chore, going to Dragonsgrasp Book 1 (via Travel Map or Timeline) can offer you the dragon base class (either temporarily until you log out or save as your starting class on login) series at no extra expense. Note that you'll only be able to use the Dragon Base class that matches your base class, which means DragonWarrior will be yours. It's fine for solos, if you're willing to sustain more pain (the combat theme of DW is precise non-crit hits, but their pain resistance is the price to pay).

Is this accessible by travel map in book 1? I can't seem to find it, can you post screenshots of it?

To access Voltabolt's Challenge, Go to Book 1 Falconreach -> Talk to Ash -> Quests -> Challenge (All Levels) on the right column

Book 3 Ash has this quest as well, iirc.

I'm not 100% sure if this is available in Book 1, but if you have a good class with multi attack skills (Say... Necro?). Then the Ninja village has a challenge that gives lots of EXP, and gold, and drops tokens - which can be resold for more gold. At higher levels, Its the farming method I choose. I'm not 100% sure how applicable to your situation I'm afraid.

^I already did point out a warning to using that zone for gold farming on my response to his inquiry:

I had to italicize now the critical part why its only number 2 on my list of gold farming spots. Assuming that a player is already level 90, the only way for a player to use Ninja Arena for a gold farm closest to Voltabolt is to use high-powered AoEs, which the best are found in p2w options (CW, KAA, and Dmk). And by closest here, we are referring closing in the time aspect of the farming when comparing both quests. At low level, it's a bit of a tall order to do so, that is why I also posited this:
quote:

...but definitely gives more gold compared to Volt's relative to the same span of exp acquisition (if you have a target exp per playtime)
At low level, since time comparison will be an instant win for Voltabolt, achieving a target exp per playtime is where Ninja Arena can be made a choice.
