Since you're a newbie here and possibly in a rush, piece of advice: unless it's a DN thread, signature, or equipment data for the DF Encyclopedia (specifically classes, capes, helms, and weapons), it is better that you use a link instead of an image tag regardless of intent for "ease of access".
Anyhow, to answer the question. Tested it personally with a cleared Launcher cache and same result, therefore more than likely a new feature than an unintended side effect of anti-cheating protocols (Verlyrus did add a notification function such that if an account is tagged for cheating, players will know upon logging in).
