Arena at the Edge of Time: Dance of the Stars
Hey there, heroes!

The Tenets of the Devoted board has a new challenge available in the Arena at the Edge of Time!

Take on the champions of the Ateala in the Dance of the Stars challenge!

Face off against Alz'ein, the Broken Horn, and Etaos, Breaker of Minds as they're supported by the Unael! If you're victorious, you'll be able to earn the Escelense Conqueror Helm!

The helm also serves as a customization catalyst for the Atealan base classes, unlocking the Escelense customization.

If you think you have what it takes, head over to the Inn at the Edge of Time!

Also this week, the December seasonal items have arrived!

The Severice Flight cosmetic wings are here, perfect for the wintery snowfall. Also returning are previous years' Severice weapon, Blessings of Kyanos, Winter's Harbinger, and the Antithesis weapons!

Check them out in the shops tab of the Book of Lore!

There have also been a number of fixes and adjustments.

The Non-Sense has been adjusted and fixed.
Its various debuffs have been reduced greatly.
Seeking now applies when Non-Sense is hit, rather than every turn. It now properly resets when Seeking falls off.
Seeking now requires 20 hits to reach enrage, rather than 10.
Removed the extra skip button from the "Senseless" quest.
Color Custom Atealan Base Classes have been folded in as customization options for the Atealan Base classes.
Added numerals to the Blades of the Great One variations.
Anything else I've forgotten!
As the Senseless quest was bugged for a little bit, the Thankstaking book will remain accessible for another week.

The Frostval book is also now available from the Book of Lore.

Aight, managed to maul the solos and update my Ascendant with the new looks.

Both have some sort of heal threshold and a one-time stunnable mechanic. -Heals most likely necessary than an optional how hard Alz hits and inhibits healing. Otherwise, one will just be on the receiving end of a relatively intelligent Riftwalker and Cryptic user.

Managed to do the solos with Chaosweaver on ST build and get the catalyst. Not a fan of the helm but like the customs. Could there be a Custom Color option for them?

Could you please explain what build you used with Chaosweaver? I'm very keen on getting the catalyst items.
So far my attempts with Chaos, Riftwalker, Paladin, Technomancer, have been a bust. :/

I'm also very much looking forward to Frostval - I've always looked forward to anything they've released so far. :)

Draco
min maxed on points
200 on mischief and 100 on everything else



chaosweaver is not ideal to use on st since it works better on int or dex but i made it work somehow.
through trial and errors, this build is not consistent to use to solo since the class is an rng glass cannon but possible to clear on nether less.

After some hesitation, finally beat the duo with Dmk using Anoni Muss' vid as the foundation (was vague on what player/dragon stat combi needed alongside what gear, but 200/200/45 DEX/END/WIS more than sufficed alongside 200 PROT/AST/MAG) and using Ultimate Twin Blades of Destiny+BoD(90). Had to ape the Alz segment but managed to wing it on Etaos (since it was a crutched fight anyway, subbed the pots with Hero Diet to maintain aggression). So far, planet Internet's only got Techno as the non-SO class to win

Got me out here fighting my waifu I see. Ah at least I get a sweet new customization out of it.


As for the fights themselves, I don't often praise the battle design of inn fights but I really like set up for these two solos mechanically. Incorporating the Rift Cutter and Paranoia Critical Boost respectively from the actual Atelean classes lets you really get an idea of where you should start cranking up the damage or start debuffing at the right opportunity as soon as they present themselves (heck you can even straight up nuke them before they get to their healing phase if you play your cards right). I also like that Isiri and Nirios play a support role mechanically in the same manner Notha did in the Reality quest. Not only does it mesh well with how these characters cooperate with one another, it also does allow the two to have their time to shine in the an inn fight if they don't need to get one later. (unless of course they do somehow and it's just them switching attack and support roles next time around). Though I'm mostly intrigued about seeing this supporting role mechanic come up again. Could be interesting to see how it plays out in the future.

But yeah overall enjoyed this one.

Also the text in the objective cards are neat and I am curious if that completion text for Duo fight means anything.

Ah right completely forgot we got whole sections of the song when the Proclamation war first started in the Sandsea. Thanks for the reminder!
