While the Calendar hasn't been updated yet, we will most likely get a Hero's Heart Day and Chinese New Year update. Carnaval 2024 will be occurring between February 9 to February 17.

Week 4 -Cold Thunder I

oh wait, Carnaval if Love, Carnaval and HHD are same week

There is an actual Hong in Chinese mythology. It is a double-sided dragon as seen in the art on X (formerly Twitter when Elon Musk took control) leading up to last night's event. Who knows if anyone can tell if it's coming or going with a build like that! Of course another creature with a double-sided body I know of is the Pushmi-Pullyu from the "Dr. Dolittle" franchise.

One of these days, we have to visit the location in question where the Champion of Metal resides and where a long-lost relative of Ai No Miko came from.

As the calendar hasn't been updated yet, we don't know if the "Age of Ruin" arc detailing the Rumbling of Cold Thunder is going to start this month.

There is some talks on X (formerly Twitter) that tonight's event is a Hero's Heart Day/Carnaval collaboration. The last time we had a holiday collaboration in February, it was Chinese New Year and Carnaval.

M'Boi is actually from Brazilian mythology and his information remained intact....until we gave the two actual lovers their satisfied ending despite them being out of time. Not all of Brazilian Mythology's characters have Wikipedia pages, so I had to google M'Boi.

The ancient dragon in question if Zakhvatchik who some of the characters had a hard time pronouncing. This dragon was said to turn mountains into volcanoes. Yokai Island's first founder Seiwa collaborated with Kitsune to defeat Zakhvatchik.

The memo also mentioned that the Avatar of Metal is called Melkior

The Tourist whose name is Yiren comes from a land where it's foxes are known as Huli Jing. The final cutscene apparently referred to him as a Youxian tourist. He must come from a place where Chinese mythology creature reside as Yokai Island is home to the Yokai and other creatures of Japanese mythology. Right?

At least we finally got to see some Onis that are much different from the Spirit Oni from that Carnaval/Chinese New Year release.

Didn't we see the designs for the Nagami somewhere before?

Thanks to Yiren, we just found out that the dragon army led by what might be a resurrected Zakhvatchik has enlisted the local Yokai to rise up.

The war against Zakhvatchick begins tonight. After what happened last week, we can assume that we'll be fighting dragons and Yokai rebels. Right?

The victory over the Dragon and Yokai Army was scored by us at the cost of Ai No Miko dragging supposed Shadowscythe puppeteer Koschei Yaga (who was responsible for controlling the corpse of Zakhvatchik) into the Yokai Realm. Now all the descendants have to come together to form a rescue party by the next part. The players also arranged for a messenger to be sent to Gravelyn to see if she knows anything about Koschei Yaga. There may be a chance we might be heading to the kingdom where the Champion of Metal resides since a similar mirror will be needed to access the Yokai Realm.

If this ends up continuing next year instead of later this year, then Yokai Island is going to need someone to cover for Ai No Miko as temporary ruler until she can be rescued. We already lost Emperor Daisho.

We're going to have to wait for Gravelyn to confirm or deny that she knows Koschei Yaga depending on if we experience the next part of this story later this year or next year.
