That should never ever happen since it will be terrible for the financial health of this game.
There really aren’t many items to spend tokens on, and GGBs is a staple of token spending. If there is any form of trial item / run for Golden Giftbox Items, well, the likelihood of people spending a GGB drops drastically. There’s no conceivable way it can be done without having a financial impact.
For example, if players can refund GGB items after a trial period, well, this reduces the entire GGB system to that of temporary equipment. Even if players can return the equipment, and only get back 0.9x of a Giftbox, that’s still basically a really cheap way of having access to the entire GGB catalogue, and only ever a few items would ever get purchased.
This game already gives so many concessions to players in terms of Z-Tokens. Focusing entirely on the GGBs:
1. The items aren’t random, and you can choose what you would like
2. There is no need to utilize it right away, and you can spend the GGB whenever
3. You can upgrade a lower ranked giftbox to a higher ranked one. At great rates.
This surpasses the loot boxes of other games by a mile. If I were a game dev, I certainly wouldn’t be so generous. Some players constantly want to get free stuff, and this really rubs me the wrong way at times. Your ‘at least’ request, is frankly a huge ask. There’s still a need to keep the lights on.
