    HOLY WHACK-A-MOLEY!!!! I SPRUNG OUT OF MY CHAIR SEEING THE SKULL CRUSHER!!! [:D] Cannot frickin' wait!!! [:)]

    Red Blood -> RE: =AQ= Golden Giftbox Cross-game Extravaganza - Week 2 (8/4/2024 13:32:54)

    Hoping it's a revamped, and perm version of the Skullcrusher already in game over a spell.

    1stClassGenesis -> RE: =AQ= Golden Giftbox Cross-game Extravaganza - Week 2 (8/4/2024 14:20:50)

    I had hoped my thread would have gotten more attention. It is what it is.

    I will express that it doesn't sit right with me that Z-Token costing items (a premium currency) in the form of Common GGBs do not come with an MC whereas gold costing items can and usually do come with an MC. But if anyone would like to respond, I'd encourage to use my aforementioned thread to do so.

    ming shuen -> RE: =AQ= Golden Giftbox Cross-game Extravaganza - Week 2 (8/5/2024 9:05:53)

    I think the stance that premium items are subject to the same balance standards as non-premium items has been frequently reiterated, and so, items in common GGBs do not really need a MC. It will be cool to have, sure, but probably unnecessary. I don't really like the idea of power-creep, and having MC items in common GGBs will probably contribute to that in some way.

    Also, sure, extra GGBs cost tokens, but do keep in mind that we Guardians receive a free GGB every month. Hence, I don't think common items need to be too optimized, since we Guardians get it at practically no cost. Something more unique can be reserved for rares and ultra-rares.

    Wanted to say that it is also pretty awesome of the devs to release a crossover item in the common GGBs. That was really nice of them.

    Dreiko Shadrack -> RE: =AQ= Golden Giftbox Cross-game Extravaganza - Week 2 (8/5/2024 9:07:00)

    Correction: Guardians receive a free GGB per month, adventurers do not.

    As for the reasoning of no MCs on commons it's the usual setup in these sorts of things that the low end needs to be low to allow for the high end to be high from what I recall of the original discussions.

    ming shuen -> RE: =AQ= Golden Giftbox Cross-game Extravaganza - Week 2 (8/5/2024 9:11:11)

    Ah, right. I have been a guardian for so long that it kinda slipped my mind. Thanks for clarifying

    1stClassGenesis -> RE: =AQ= Golden Giftbox Cross-game Extravaganza - Week 2 (8/5/2024 13:51:22)

    Without going too far off topic, all I will say is that different MCs have different "worth". I contend that it's doable, without being a heavy workload, especially if workable solutions (possibly ones in my thread) are easily clonable.

    Zorbak -> RE: =AQ= Golden Giftbox Cross-game Extravaganza - Week 2 (8/8/2024 14:36:22)

    Mehehe! The next round of Golden Giftboxes has arrived! Don't miss out on this opportunity to enhance your inventory with even more powerful items:

    Common:
  • Bruise Bros/Sistas Faces

    Rare:
  • Lost Knight's Blade
  • Chaotic Lacerta Staff
  • Storm Knight Pet

    Ultra Rare:
  • Arch Broodfiend of Nulgath Armor
  • Frostfang Dormius Blade
  • Skullcrusher Barrage Spell
  • Illumina Mystic & Spirit Gem Miscs

  • CH4OT1C! -> RE: =AQ= Golden Giftbox Cross-game Extravaganza - Week 2 (8/8/2024 16:19:23)

    I'm very pleased with the implementation of Chaotic Lacerta Staff, and I'm also extremely happy to see that Chaos Slayer Cleric has been updated to Spellcaster Lean (thanks to @Lorekeeper for that!). While this definitely doesn't solve the long-term shortage of accessible Spellcaster Lean armours, it's still a massive help!

    EDIT: A massive thank you to @Ianthe too!

    Lorekeeper -> RE: =AQ= Golden Giftbox Cross-game Extravaganza - Week 2 (8/8/2024 17:35:45)

    All credit to Ianthe for the implementation, as there was more work to it than just changing the lean.

    Rastaban -> RE: =AQ= Golden Giftbox Cross-game Extravaganza - Week 2 (8/8/2024 18:22:14)

    Thanks, Ianthe!

    Fantastic release! I love the guest compressed in the ice sword! I hope we start seeing more items/companions compressed within other items.

    GGB UltraRare: Frostfang Dormius Blade. Kam says:

    Melee Ice Sword, neutral damage lean and a -5 BtH lean. Sacrifices 50% Melee of weapon damage to have weapon hits attempt a 4-turn (25 x HitRateMult)% Melee Ice Burn, with HitRateMult being 85/80. Has a 50% save, inflicts with STR/LUK vs mob's DEX/LUK. MC compresses a guest summon call that's activated by clicking the blade. Summons a Snowfang Wolf guest that pays half damage (so 22.5% Melee) to attempt a 2-turn 22.5% Melee Ice Burn, this uses the same save as the weapon, 50% with player STR/LUK vs enemy DEX/LUK.

    quote:

    New Year's Blade
    New Year's Bludgeon
    New Year's Baton

    Melee/Ranged/Magic Ice Sword/Maul(Hammer+Polearm)/Wand, neutral/0.1/neutral damage leans and 0/-5/0 BtH leans respectively. Gives up MC and 45% of weapon damage to attempt to attempt to inflict a (Hitsx12.5xMagicMod)% Melee% Ice Burn for 4 turns, with MagicMod being 0.75 if using the Wand, the Maul gets a x85/80 boost to the status due to hit rate. This has a 50% save, inflict with (STR/DEX/INT for Melee/Ranged/Magic)/LUK, mob resists with CHA/LUK since they're being overwhelmed with your burning New Year's resolve. Also has Lv 85/143 Z versions for 2410/5940 tokens, = to the Lv 95/150G versions.

    Why doe the new Frostfang have a stronger burn vs the New Year weapons?

    A standard mastercraft is only valued at 5% melee (in other terms 5% of pressing the attack button once roughly speaking) and is not at all necessary for an item to be strong. Case in point being uragiri. The items in common GGBs aren't particularly strong or exciting because they're expressly designed to be at a lower powerlevel. Uragiri not withstanding. Idk how that one snuck in. What commons could be doing is being the dumping spot for gapfiller coverage IE modern spears now that they're trying to make FO rangers more viable or w a n d s.
