J9408 -> Sinister or Bloodthirsty for Tank Warrior? (12/29/2024 11:29:39)

My character is a Warrior 250 in STR/END/LUK. Can only get one. Which is best for healing and lowering enemy damage?

Sinister can lower enemy damage through stat reduction, lowering damage, but HP healing I'm not sure how well it does.
Bloodthirsty can panick, heal and stop enemy healing, but I'm not sure how reliable it is, since it is reliant on enemy fire resistance.

Which does a better job at mitigating enemy damage and healing HP?

If anyone has the sets, how much HP does Bloodthirsty heal? How good is the panick against bosses who have freedom status & low fire resistance?
How good is Sinister STAT reduction and healing?

Well, Bloodthirsty does choke, not panic.. Althought they're similar, it's a matter of preference on what people like. Choke is always a known duration. Panic is semi-perm, pending a monster save throw. However, each panic line listed has it's own individual throw. This one does choke and therefore has a known duration. SOme people like that better. As for a quicker ability to lower damage, Bloodthirsty will probably be better. But Sinister's permanent stat reduction both lowers damage and lowers accuracy, so dodge playstyles can take advantage. Sinister does heal through it's shield. The shield will heal either 5% per mob hit or 15%
per mob hit depending on the toggle activated. This only works once the stat reduction caps (-420) So it takes a bit. But there are ways to get to the cap in 2 turns tbh.

I would say a lot depends on your playstyle, tbh. Bloodthirsty is FD, and your build, a warrior, has warrior lean to bump it's damage up to neutral lean damage while retaining FD defense. The skill is melee locked. It probably fits better with your build.

However, Sinister is regarded as the better set because permanent stat reduction is extremely strong. It's skill is ranged locked so it's more catered for rangers, but the stat reduction toggle works with any build. It works on spellcasts as well, so Mages can use it very well.

I know my answer may have made the decision more difficult to decide, but I think either one is fine.

Yes Choke, my mistake. Range lock? That's not good for a warrior.

It sounds like Bloodthirsty is what I'm looking for.

How much does Bloodthirsty heal per turn using the toggles(extra healing) and FSB? How low does it lower a boss damage who has Freedom status and low fire resistance?

The armor can lower enemy healing, how effective is it against enemies who can heal themselves?

The choke uses END for save roll, Does Fragile infliction on enemy make the Choke & Lower enemy Healing infliction easier?

The melee weapon should be about 41 HP heal per landed hit, likely capped to 4 hits. Consuming onslaught gives you -12.5 heal resist, so 41*12.5%=46 per hit. 250 END on you build should give you another -12.5% so 51 or 52 or 53 depending on how these stacks round.

I might be blind but I don't see a FSB on this set.

Lowering enemy healing usually is all about reducing it's SP heals, thus reducing it's ability to use it's SP skill. IMO, having 250 END and healing and choking the mob is way way way plenty to not worry about this, so it's just an extra feature.

And yes, fragile makes it's END saves harder for it

Here is the FSB. The shield description, it applies some sort of damage barrier.

Wait, the heal reduction lowers enemy SP? I though it was only HP?
Does this apply to MP as well?
