Book 3: Void Ship - The Forgotten Vessel
Hey there, heroes!

This week, we're returning to Book 3's Void Ship saga and visiting Eirn! The guest invite page in the Book of Lore has also been updated!

[image]https://cms.battleon.com/DF/images/2025-04-11-FORGOTTENVESSELdn.png[/image]

In Pellow Village, Eirn awaits at the Void Ship with a new quest for you! Deep under the ruins of Popsprocket lie mysterious and forgotten caves... And Eirn needs your help exploring them! Join Eirn in his search for an ancient treasure!

Help him out, and you'll be able to invite him as a guest for your future adventures!

Speaking of guests...

The Guest page in the Book of Lore has been updated! There's now a page for Book 1 guests! The Book 3 guests page is now locked behind starting Book 3. For both Book 1 and Book 3 guests, storyline locks have been added to reduce spoilers! All of the guests on the Book 1 page now also have updated skill tooltips. Some guests, such as Aegis and Robina have had their skills adjusted as well.

Check them out in the Book of Lore!

Head over to the Void Ship and speak to Eirn to accompany him on his dangerous mission!

Also this week, we have a new cosmetic item available!

The Veilance cosmetic weapon can now be purchased for 300 Dragon Coins from the DC Cosmetics shop!

Some more details on guests and guest updates!

Guests are unlocked by story progress, meeting them (completing their first quest after meeting them), or earning their trust (by completing their quest chain). The Guests tab in the Book of Lore will default to opening to the Book 1 guests page, but if you've started Book 3, it will default to opening the Book 3 guests page instead.
  • Updated tooltips for Book 1 guests found in the Book of Lore. (Book 3 guests will be updated at a later date).
  • Bk1 Robina and Sir Ano from the Book of Lore will now scale to player level. (Inviting them elsewhere will be updated at a later date).
  • Sir Ano's Swordplay skill damage has been increased to 200% up from 100%.
  • Book 1 Aegis Hailstorm skill has been adjusted to 1x150% to all targets from 6x80% to random targets.
  • Book 1 Aegis Ice Domain reduced to 4x50% from 4x90%.
  • Book 1 Aegis Shatter increased to 1x160% from 1x60%.
  • Book 1 Robina now has two new skills!
  • Book 1 Tomix Circle of Retribution damage increased to 10x25% from 10x15%.
  • Book 1 Tomix's skills now have icons.
  • Book 1 Vilmor Attack reduced to 3x50% from 3x100%.
Also, Drakath, Champion of Chaos has had some dialogue typos fixed.

And that's all for this week!

Hey look at that Void Ship content

spoiler:

Loved the chance to team up with Eirn again but oh boy am I concerned about those obviously shadowscythe tendrils wiggling around ominously around the MQ ship. I believe it's safe to say we'll eventually get around to seeing what that was about in Book 4 when we next cover Popsrocket.

Flabagast -> RE: Friday, April 11th Design Notes: Book 3: Void Ship - The Forgotten Vessel (4/15/2025 2:50:20)

Wowee, deja vu indeed!

spoiler:

So after reading Eirn's Void Ship dialogue again, I assume that the disc was used to save Kordana? I don't think it was ever explained how she was still operational during late Book 3, so that makes sense.

@Vaalirus
Oh yeah, whatever that thing was made me wonder if this ship was the same pre-Reset vessel that Akanthus pulled the Doom Cell from, but that doesn't seem to be the case. I figure it must be Shadowscythe-related, due to its proximity to an MQ starship and the bad vibes it gives off. Whether it becomes a serious problem for us later on remains to be seen...

You know I think it might be plausible that they at least found the Doom Cell somewhere close by in the region. They did after all sink Popsrocket into the ground so perhaps they already had an idea where to look for the remains of the MQ ships or other forms of its tech. It's amusing that it somehow hasn't occurred to me until that a lot of remnants of the old timeline are just deep underground waiting to be discovered or worse waiting to bubble back up to surface on their own.
