Windstar -> Rare Treasure Chests (5/25/2025 12:58:33)

Can anyone tell me where is the easiest place to find the pieces of the Blade of Awe?

Either in an active war (as in that the meter hasn't reached 100% yet) or still through the old method of repeatedly sending yourself through Somewhere in the crossroads.

I've bean doing that for a long time but I only found two Rare Treasure Chests right now, is there any other way to find them that you know?

Not good ones no, you can use the individual crossroads locations to drive up the completion bonus on a specific one which itself gives a higher chance to get a rare chest at the end but going through somewhere should still net you a higher chance overall.

I just found one more Rare Treasure Chest, now I only need two more to complete the Blade Of Awe.

Just to clarify exactly how the Crossroads actually work, the six options on the right level up (to a maximum of level 9) each time you go through them, either by clicking them directly or via "Somewhere" sending you to one of them randomly. When you complete one of the paths, you have a [6 + [3 x path level])% (caps at 33%) of finding a rare chest, but this ONLY applies to when you complete a path via clicking "Somewhere". Clicking any of the paths directly will let you level up that path, but won't result in a rare chest.

Ergo, this method is the best (always available) in the game, but still takes a while since you're starting at 6% per run, can't choose which path to go on (ergo, cannot focus on one path's odds), and six paths means building the chance is a slow, long process.

I haven't tested it myself, but if you have a build that can nuke enemies really quickly (basically, if you're playing a mage), then choose a path that you can nuke down quickly (Praetorian Warlock absolutely manhandles the Northlands), run through that 2 or 3 times to get its level up to around 15% quickly, then click "Somewhere" and keep running away and trying again until you randomly land in that leveled-up path. You have about a 17% chance to get the right path, and resetting repeatedly is likely WAY faster than doing un-optimal elemental paths at lower percentages per run. And since "Somewhere still levels that path, each attempt has a better chance than the last.
