Alnaphar Overhaul Part II - Shadow Set
Step into the Ring of Shadow, a dark and desolate labyrinth hidden within the volcanic ruins of Alnaphar. This is no ordinary dungeon - it is a place of terrible secrets, where the past still clings to the present like a deathly weight.

In this three-part release, the first part of the Quest for the Shadow Set is a massive update to the quests and monsters, featuring a new, high-level challenge for brave adventurers. So hope we get the new Gatekeeper looks as an armor, when this is done.

If the Shadow update is as good as what the Reign one gave us we're gonna get some fun toys. Shame it'll not be this update but good to know it's coming.

Ooh, was just wondering when we were gonna get the Shadow set update~! Very curious to see where this goes... I'm guessing there're gonna be some MRM or Fear-adjacent mechanics given the set's historical identity, probably leaning toward the latter. But considering how the Reign set update turned out whatever we get is probably gonna be both interesting and potent.

Yes! I've been waiting for this! Reign did such a fun twist on it while keeping its original claim to fame intact. I wonder what we'll get out of this one?

This is a massive update, so get ready for a Saturday release! We're not only updating the original Gatekeeper armor mechanics but also introducing the new version worn by Halliphax. This armor will be part of the next update to the Shadow Set gear, and we will also include an extra weapon that functions with the set.

I'm super excited for gatekeeper as well, absolutely worth waiting a little while longer.
In the interest of preserving old art, is there any way (that without much coding hassle) we might be able to preserve the old art of it? Maybe have a retro version and a modern version? I just think that would be nice, even if the current version people own was updated to the modern art, I'd probably rebuy the older art just to have it, if that were possible to be an option. Very greedy request I recognize, but if it's not a big hassle I know I'd really like it at least, and I assume there are other retro art gremlins out there.

I do think that there should also be retro versions of the Reign and Shadow sets like that they did with the Golden/Communicant and Nightmare/Nemesis. As for weapons losing their specials upon update, perhaps if possible they could add variants of the weapons that still retained their specials, they don't have to be regarded as being part of the newly updated set with regards to FSBs etc. They can just be there for nostalgia sake.

It's possible we could release retro versions of Reign and Shadow. We're keeping the original Gatekeeper but updating its powers. At the same time, we're releasing an new version with fresh art and a completely different set of mechanics. The release is live!
