This week, we're back to the Book 1 Revisited project! We're taking a step backward on the timeline to update The Hatching, as well as a new quest based on the old Friday the 13th wars! Afterward, Ash has a new quest for you, properly introducing your dragon, as well as a certain ebil blue moglin. The new quest must be completed for the Book 1 story tracker to progress, so don't forget to complete it! Speaking of the Book 1 timeline, a new branch has been added leading to Sunbreeze Grove to better indicate its availability. Twilly will also now recommend you visit Lady Celestia when you talk to him after The Hatching! Check out the revisited quests in Book 1 Falconreach! Also this week, a new cosmetic weapon is available for purchase! [image]https://cms.battleon.com/DF/images/promo-darklightdn.png[/image] The DarkLight Rod can be yours for 300 Dragon Coins from the DC Cosmetics shop! And that's all for this week! Next month, besides the usual Inn challenge and seasonal releases, we're also hopefully going to start a new post-Book 3 side storyline involving Vilmor and the aftermath of the Northlands rift, written by Lorekeeper!

Big fan of this quest, it was something the game sorely needed! Some notes: +This quest finally adds back necessary context for Gathering Shadows, the Beach Vacation Invasion, and part of the Necromantress's introduction (however that ends up being resolved...) +The mention of Jaysun was expanded to all of the items in the shop and not just the mask -Ash isn't added to your party here, I feel like he should be? -Spirits in the Inn isn't gated behind this quest, I feel like it should be? -Music choice is kind of weird - why is the super ominous Notha music playing for a gaggle of joke enemies? -The term 'Friday the 13th' isn't used anywhere in this quest, even though events later in the game will refer to this quest as 'Friday the 13th' -The volume on some of the music and SFX in The Hatching is incredibly low and it's difficult to hear them Glad to see this was resolved! Much-needed release EDIT: There are a couple Revisited-adjacent issues that seem to have fallen through the cracks, might as well mention them here: -The background for Mysterious Stranger/Mysterious Orb seemingly bugged out at around the time of the Spirits in the Inn release. The slowly-darkening background has been replaced with a shot of Falconreach Harbor with the Dracolich in it - even if the Dracolich hasn't yet fallen into the harbor in the story. -Some of Ash's dialogue from the old version of WoX Falconreach: quote: Ash: Hello, my name is Ash and my dream is to become a Knight. I want to protect the world just like you! You: You want to be a Knight? Ash: Yes! My dream has always been to be a Knight... but I am too young to even train for the tests. Ash: Even if I was old enough, I am not of noble blood so I would not even be considered... Sighs and frowns deeply You: Well.... you could save a Princess or something .... then a King would have to make you a Knight, right? Ash: REALLY? You (thinking): Uh oh... what did I just say? He is not actually gonna try to ... nah.. he would never do it. You: Coughs Yes! Definitely... if you were to save a Princess you would become a Knight. Ash: Thank you so much!!!!!!!!!! I am going to go find a Princess to save! You: ... You (thinking): Oh boy... I did it now. Wait, what am I saying. He is too young to try to run off to strange lands and save some random Princess. Ash: Well, I better get started packing! You: ! You (thinking): Oh no.. what have I done.... wasn't preserved anywhere in the newer versions of these quests/NPCs, even though it's pretty important to the story. Maybe the Ash NPC should have a 'talk' option or smth
