Book 3: Through The Frost - Cold Call
Hey there, heroes!

This week, we're starting up a new side questline up in the Northlands, written by Lorekeeper!

[image]https://cms.battleon.com/DF/images/2025-10-10-ColdCallDNS.png[/image]

Though the Proclamation rift was closed, the Dragonslayers and DragonLords still have much to do. The Northlands remain a tangled mess of withering fungus and dragons, a mess that requires a specific hero's touch to fix...

A certain familiar name from Dragonsgrasp's past has asked for your help with an urgent hunt delving deep into ice dragon territory, and who's better to join than the Dragonslayer, Galanoth?

Head over to Book 3 Dragesvard's shore and speak to Galanoth to begin this new side story: Through the Frost!

Note: Through the Frost requires completion of the Awakened Depths to access.

Also this week, we have a new cosmetic item available for purchase!

The Voidwatched Halberd is now available for 350 Dragon Coins! This strange weapon seems to draw its power from the Void itself... or at least, something resembling the Void. You can pick it up from the DC Cosmetics shop i nteh Book of Lore!

And that's all for this week!

Oh, something is brewing

spoiler:

It's good to see that peace between the Dragonslayers and Dragonlords remains firm while they deal with what's left of the Hollow. Hopefully, it stays that way once the threat is dealt with. Although, I'm curious as to how long it'll take to deal with them given that we know the Hollow can sort of just sprout from deep beneath the earth and while that was technically truer of the fungal warbeast itself I get the feeling whatever remains of it can likely just pull off the same given enough time.

What I find odd, or perhaps more accurately troubling, is the mention of the ice dragons being more active but not the ice elves in the area. Last time we saw them, the ice elves were fighting the Hollow, without assistance from the Alliance iirc, while their own resources were running scarce. If the Hollow are still around, I have to wonder then if the elves have retreated from the territories they were still fighting over or are still out there still fighting the fungus back where they can. Furthermore, with the dragons being more active in the area, I tend to wonder what Aisha has been up to lately given she presumably still rules over the ice elves and what's left of the ice dragons still loyal to her.

It was good to meet up with Vilmor again though it is a shame she still bearing a lot of the bad rep from some of the other Dragonlords because of what Frostscythe did. Additionally, I think it'll be great that Draco gets to hang out with Cryozen jr because when was the last time that kid hanged out with dragon around their age group?

Very excited to see these characters returning!
spoiler:

And another baby dragon! By the way, can Galanoth speak Draconian now, since he's the speaker? Or is telepathy with those specific dragons an exception. Did he just study it like a normal language without an amulet? Not sure if this was addressed previously, but if not, this quest line might be a good opportunity to do so.
