Animenut1 -> How do house guards affect Guard Tower? (3/17/2026 11:04:17)

I know that the Guard Tower's level is part of the calculations for how many waves the guards kill and the resulting gold gain, but what other factors affect kill count and gold gain? Do more guards equate to more war kills on average? I know that more guards means the cost of sending them out is increased, and that LEVEL of the guards increases the cost, but does the QUALITY of the guard matter (i.e, challenge fight guards versus Higgins' shop guards)? Does the quality of the guards affect average kill count? Ignoring the fact that tokens are more valuable than gold on an almost infinitesimal scale, is there a breakpoint where the cost/effort of gaining new/better guards does not meaningfully justify the gain in kills and gold?

All the wikis I've browsed basically just say "Get guards, protects your house during wars, can send them out for war kills and gold/exp" without explaining much about the actual mechanics involved. There's more mechanical information about Mega World Portals, which, to my knowledge, are the LESS-efficient war tool.

From what I remember years back when Guards can now be sent to wars, main factors is the amount you have and all their average levels, so it having many guards isn't exactly the best method since they will cost more resources, as opposed to having more high level guards.

So to sum it up, more guards = good, high average level of all guards = good among other things needed in the calculations, but the general consensus was since you're spending resources anyway, might as well use it on armies for better ratios

Edit: I just checked the pedia entry for Guard Tower, it seems the amount of guards doesn't matter, all that matters is the sum levels of all your guards.
