In the constant sea of premium gear being flooded in these past several months and spurred by the recent announcement of the Jester armor, I was wanting to see if any players would favor a release that mainly focused on updating some of the item shops in Battleon?

I for one would really like some old armors getting elemental flavorings and filling in for gaps in coverage (see my Canine warrior suggestion) but also wouldn't mind it if the shops got more utility items as well. Things that the game either lacks for all seasons or something that's mechanically rare that could be retrofitted into an old gear piece. It could even reuse some existing art assets and be made into a summon/call spell or pet and have a much needed utility that's lacking right now.

Not too mention there's a ton of older armors that I'm sure we remember (Suld Rider/BreakNeck Robe/Big Red Button/etc.) and items that could still use a bit of a tune up or retrofitting.

Oo while it's being asked, out of curiosity do you guys prefer the retro looks of the gear as is, or prefer when they get a revamped appearance too? ~Anim

I think it's good since it would give more reason to use a lot of the items we already have, I'm always happy when old quest rewards get updated too. I prefer keeping the old art generally, or at least updating art is usually not necessary. Pzycho Sabre is one I'd highlight as a great update, a guest compressed into a weapon is a fun addition for beastmaster warriors. Golden Summoner would fit a similar niche just by name and description.

Honestly both [:)]
Some old art should be saved but I do like the new ones also.

Like these 3 armors, I find would benefit greatly from an art update, but they do hold that old feeling that many likes.

Definitely would prefer the retro look. I'm using the retro nightmare armor because of the nostalgia despite the 1000 year long animation

I'm not sure if I understand this correctly -- respectfully, it's concerning to see this type of question raised. My interpretation of this is that if new art is introduced, old art should be replaced, and not set as an option. In which case, this implies that there are limitations to having both co-existing.

As a player, I can't understand being denied the option of having the choice. But if limitations exist, it should be made unambiguously clear (or clearer) in some way to the wider playerbase.

If effort has been put in to new art, I'd say have them both? Or if the question refers to "Should effort be put into revamped appearances for older items?" Well, I have a preference for precious time being used on important projects, and I wouldn't say this would be one of them.

Maybe why not use the AQ classic annisavery where we can actually get updated Retro gears, and sometimes the new modern gears become retro? it'll be interesting to see what's the modern gears's design art look like with retro artstyle.

also yeah that'll be great to see Canine warrior armor get reworked.

I do believe it is good to update the regular stores in the game as sometimes when you are exploring the LORE it be refreshing too see change variety of weapons and gears to look at on casual basis and see what has been changed or updated on the regular items.

In my perfect world I would love to see a both cosmetic look where in battle you can switch the design from retro to modern design look that will be really cool, I know that will not happen but that be pretty cool.
