zzzzzzzzzs -> Dragons Lore Update [Dracomancers/ Cyrus/ Elemental Dragons] (7/20/2026 0:00:08)

I have been playing this game for years and have noticed that the lore of the AQ dragons have stopped. I am just checking if there will be any updates to Cyrus' story as well as a needed update/ revamp of the dracomancer class? Also the Elemental Dragons lore would be amazing if continued ....especially with Frostgale's backstory. I REALLY HOPE THESE IDEAS WERE NOT ABANDONED.

I mean, we're still getting dragon NPCs for whatever that's worth, and Cyrus & co. still pop up here and there. They're just... not getting much focus at the moment because the world of Lore is large and has a lot of factions, and a lot of moving pieces in general. As far as the class end of things goes, Dracomancer's likely to be a while yet - Rogue and Scholar still need updating and the Tier 1 classes set the tempo for everything else, Knight and especially Wizard are painfully out of date for how relevant they are to the endgame classes, and Archmage is... stuck at the bottom of the simmering pot of perpetual stew that is playerbase anticipation. And that's not even to mention subrace updates, considering the current storyline is good potential setup for an eventual Dracopyre rework.

There's also the question of what a modern Dracomancer would even look like, considering how conceptually... primitive it is, for lack of a better word, being more of a grab-bag of dragon-flavored damaging options than a coherent playstyle. We can assume it'd be a spellcasting class of some sort given the name (but, would it be aggressive? Defensive? Status-focused?), and the final skill might make sense as a toggle similar to the Werewolf/Vampire/Werepyre 10 skills, but otherwise... what's even there to mine for a rework? It'd pretty much be a new class entirely no matter how you look at it.

Don't get me wrong, I'd like to see it brought up to modern standards too, dragons are cool as heck. But if it's in the pipeline at all it's probably quite a ways back, behind a looot of other things... but at the very least, it's probably well ahead of a Vamprook Spyre update.
