This is a good release. I'm always a fan of these random balance patches and I like that they usually address long-standing issues with classes and fights. enTropy reducing both Avoidance and Defenses is a good change for parity with other classes that have similar effects, and the class itself is shaping up to feel very modern as of late. It still does feel like a remnant from the Ash era, but similar to Ranger and Doomknight, this isn't much of an issue as it can hold its own reasonably well in battle anyway. The changes to Chaosweaver's Siphon are great as it reduces the issue of healing different amounts of HP if the first attack Crits vs if the second attack Crits; it should also heal more health overall which makes all the past Chaosweaver strategies much more consistent. I'm also fond of the Rebuke change because it is also a change that brings parity with other berserker-style classes, albeit being much stronger than the others. I'm also pleased with the added empowerment to Soul Slice. It will not affect the first burst cycle of a standard fight wherein you defeat the more threatening enemy, as you have access to Untangle and will also want to empower both Soul Aegis and Soul Gambit during that part of the fight. However, you are able to empower it during the second burst cycle of a standard fight in place of Aegis if you wish to trade the extra turn of deathproofing and +100 Immobility for a guaranteed triple crit on Rebuke - if Rebuke kills, you won't need the third deathproof turn anyway. Furthermore, if the second boss is stunnable, you get an additional turn to deal damage with autocrit Shred. eSlice can also be used at the beginning of the fight to guarantee extra chip damage by forcing four turns of autocrits, with Soul Assault immediately recovering the expended Soulthread. Lastly, eSlice adds more damage than eAggression against story bosses, which deal much less damage than challenge bosses and typically do not require the deathproof mechanic or even allow Rebuke to be used effectively. The Ascendant Preis changes are great as well because they allow you to swap your equipped weapon as per the needs of the fight, which is very good in tandem with the Askal's Light change as the skill now synergizes much better with BPD stack which typically encourages you to use Chronomancer's Khopesh. Ascension was typically used after Ky'tap in case its sudden burst of damage was required to kill a boss that survived the attack; it can now be used after every Ky'tap (if it's available) as the significantly increased base damage should more than compensate for the passive reset, and even more so if you use defensive skills after it since they also build the passive. The +Health being buffed to 6 turns is also a very welcome change and should make a variety of matchups easier for the class. The other changes are more minor, but are all very nice as well. Looking forward to finally getting to try out Fleshweaver!
