Welcome to the Gallery Q&A forum! Here you'll find plenty of guides to the digital arts made by others, but here are some helpful tips to follow when making your own: When submitting a tutorial, always make sure it's your own work. Plagiarizing is against the forum's rules and is also frowned upon by the GFX community. Specify the name and version of the program in the title that the tutorial requires. (Ex: "[GIMP] How to Brush" or "[PS CS2] Cannon Blast Effect") Make sure the tutorial has not already been submitted. Refer to the Tutorial Directory by Acolytic in advance to make sure that yours will be original in content. All steps should be easily legible/readable. Assume your audience has NO previous graphical experience. (Try to avoid using "leet speak." Grammar and punctuation really do help.) Include images of the steps to go along with the text. Tutorials are so much easier to follow if the audience has a general handle on what should be the desired outcome. Be sure to give credit where credit is due. Remember though, the tutorial should be your own work. Getting help for a step or two is ok, but you shouldn't copy the entire thing. Hopefully these guidelines should get you all on your way to making quality tutorials. If you have any questions, feel free to send a PM to Grafh, iChar, Nicky, or VampireHSS.
