VampireSlayer2 -> RE: NT2/Daykeem2's Gimp question Thread II (10/23/2005 14:18:41)

How do you make pics in color and how do you save them in color?

daykeem2 -> RE: NT2/Daykeem2's Gimp question Thread II (10/23/2005 14:22:21)

i think i need more information. im thinking your talking about the following:

  • Clour Stripping & Adding Own Colour

  • Selective Colouring

  • Colouring A Black & White Picture

VampireSlayer2 -> RE: NT2/Daykeem2's Gimp question Thread II (10/23/2005 14:25:26)

I just started using GIMP and I thought I added great color in something using the Layers, Channels, Paths, Undo Brushes, Patterns, Gradients window but when I saved it it was black and white. I'd like to know how to color a black and white picture.

daykeem2 -> RE: NT2/Daykeem2's Gimp question Thread II (10/23/2005 14:27:10)

so basicly what ur saying is that you colour a full image and when u save it and see how it looks it turns out black and white. correct?

VampireSlayer2 -> RE: NT2/Daykeem2's Gimp question Thread II (10/23/2005 14:28:50)

Yes. I use the channels thing and click on the eyes.

daykeem2 -> RE: NT2/Daykeem2's Gimp question Thread II (10/23/2005 14:31:07)

ive never experiance that before. thats new.
take it up with www.GIMPtalk.com. they should know. a guy named Fencepost should be able to help u out there. he helps me alot

VampireSlayer2 -> RE: NT2/Daykeem2's Gimp question Thread II (10/23/2005 14:32:41)

But how do you color things?

daykeem2 -> RE: NT2/Daykeem2's Gimp question Thread II (10/23/2005 14:38:34)

depends...
do you want to colour the image ur colouring one certain colour of multipul colours (also called selective colouring)

VampireSlayer2 -> RE: NT2/Daykeem2's Gimp question Thread II (10/23/2005 14:41:31)

Multiple

daykeem2 -> RE: NT2/Daykeem2's Gimp question Thread II (10/23/2005 14:45:09)

for me to explaint hat would take for ever but ill send you the perfect link to a tut that shows you multipul colour an image.

Link 1

thats one of them. just incase that one dosnt work ill give u a link to another. also, make sure that ur picture is black and white before following the tut

EDIT: the link to another selective colouring tut Link 2

VampireSlayer2 -> RE: NT2/Daykeem2's Gimp question Thread II (10/23/2005 14:50:44)
