skyboy59 -> what brush styles are there? (11/11/2005 17:11:08)

besides grunge and abstract?

I'm trying to find some new ones, i dont like the styles people use so im trying to find some different brushes lol
I got some vector ones, but i only need like 1 set because they are all the same lol

Lightnin10 -> RE: what brush styles are there? (11/11/2005 17:14:24)

there
vector
tech
and sum others i don't know off

kakumei65 -> RE: what brush styles are there? (11/11/2005 17:41:13)

what lightnin said and

sparkle
fractal
smudge
blood
and some other random brushes

reverseblade -> RE: what brush styles are there? (11/11/2005 18:22:54)

Grunge and Abstract, really.
Every other 'style' listed here are nothing more than accent brushes.

Not counting actual brushes, those styles are applicable.
Vector's and Tech are better when brushes aren't used, the pen tool makes those styles much better.

Smudge isn't a brush style, neither is fractal. I suppose Sparkle brushes could be considered a brush style, but that falls under Abstract.

Hope that helps.

kakumei65 -> RE: what brush styles are there? (11/11/2005 18:26:12)

reverse:
i have both smudge and fractal brushes :/

Irrelevant -> RE: what brush styles are there? (11/11/2005 21:02:49)

grunge
abstract
smudge
minimalistic

thats about it

like listed above there are some "styles" that are actually kind of like a sub-style...if oyu get what i mean.

like; Blood,Hard Grunge and Soft Grunge and belong to the Grunge style.
Fractals fall under abstract.

vector is a catagory of its own.

if you want examples, i can post a sig for each style and "sub-style"

Swordhunter -> RE: what brush styles are there? (11/11/2005 21:07:49)

Im acutally curious what this minimalistic style you said is. I've never heard of it before...

Xarth -> RE: what brush styles are there? (11/11/2005 21:10:56)

Smudge "brushes" aren't considered a brushing style because you don't brush with them. You normally just smudge with them :P As for fractalls, I'd consider them a a branch of abstract brush styles :)

Minimalistic is basically keeping things simple with a nice effect. Minimalistic sigs are most often clean and have a simplistic look to them.

skyboy59 -> RE: what brush styles are there? (11/11/2005 21:21:39)

what are smudge brushes?

I got some lightning and sparkle brushes already...

but arent fractals just strange? I havent found any good ones lol

and im not a big fan of blood :/ so no lol

what are minimalistic? never heard of it

Irrelevant -> RE: what brush styles are there? (11/11/2005 21:45:48)

minimalistic- one focus, clean sig. smooth.

skyboy59 -> RE: what brush styles are there? (11/11/2005 22:03:44)

ooo i love that lol

um.... ok, i get how the bg is made with a gradient... and render shadow is just larger render i think on a low opecity...

so is the minimalistic a brush? and if so... is it the blue dot?
do you have a link to it on devinart? I dont know what to look for lol, i didnt see any named minimalist

Metal -> RE: what brush styles are there? (11/11/2005 22:13:44)

I believe the black detailing behind the base render is the minimalistic, I could be wrong, it could be the random cloud like patterns near the top of the sig. I'll get you a link sky, one sec..
(I think Irrel made those himself, but I should be able to find some)

closest thing I could find. If you read the post, he/she says they make good minimalist brushes. I'll keep looking though.

Blazen -> RE: what brush styles are there? (11/11/2005 22:21:58)

Nevermind

kakumei65 -> RE: what brush styles are there? (11/11/2005 22:24:35)

skyboy59 -> RE: what brush styles are there? (11/12/2005 2:14:12)

thanks metal and kaku
I like those brushes

hehe, i did have smudge brushes... but i didnt know lol (I renamed them to feather looking brushes lol)

5team -> RE: what brush styles are there? (11/12/2005 18:22:40)

eh i think i know how irrel did that....gradient tool then maybe brightneess and contrast and then smudge the render a bit and then he made a copy of the render larger lowered opacity and put it behind it all...sounds simple but it aint cus isuck at that style =p

skyboy59 -> RE: what brush styles are there? (11/12/2005 22:14:37)

does anyone know what brush irrel used? the one that makes it look like black sparkles?

Lyrics -> RE: what brush styles are there? (11/12/2005 23:14:29)

Kinda looks like he smudge it or he made his own.
I wish I could do more type of sigs like them.

UChihaSteven -> RE: what brush styles are there? (11/13/2005 7:19:06)

I don't think irrel use downloaded brushes :)

kakumei65 -> RE: what brush styles are there? (11/13/2005 7:35:43)

yeah it looks like pen tool and smudge. or it could be default brushes with smudge

skyboy59 -> RE: what brush styles are there? (11/13/2005 12:12:28)

for the little black dots?

why do people keep saying smudge? lol...

Metal -> RE: what brush styles are there? (11/13/2005 16:07:45)

for the "little black dots" I beleive he used default brushes, round or otherwise. I actually think MOST of the sig is default/brushless. You'd have to PM irrel about that most likely.
