Istill dont get it

darkwingdux -> RE: Dux's Guide to animation (12/22/2005 15:45:16)

Sorry that you dont understand dark! What dont you get?

Darklord517 -> RE: Dux's Guide to animation (12/23/2005 6:19:55)

like what do you do ,do you drag the pieces onto each other and then what?

darkwingdux -> RE: Dux's Guide to animation (12/23/2005 6:27:20)

No, you drag the pieces into the UnfreeZ box. If you don't have UnfreeZ, that would explain a lot!

Darklord517 -> RE: Dux's Guide to animation (12/23/2005 6:51:46)

Yay i made something look: [image]http://img398.imageshack.us/img398/4077/stuff2df.gif[/image]

blompy -> RE: Dux's Guide to animation (12/23/2005 17:36:41)

how do you keep the guy from moving around when hes supposed to be standing still

darkwingdux -> RE: Dux's Guide to animation (12/24/2005 8:31:47)

Just put the same frame in multiple times. That was possibly the first "good" question, congrats

Themint -> RE: Dux's Guide to animation (12/30/2005 23:57:49)

Being someone who has never animated before and now can, I would like to say thanks for the guide, it took me a while but I figured it out. As simple as it seems, these suggestions may help clarify your directions to new users:

1) Change link to Fire Emblem planet, the link is broke and the site is down
2) Fix the picture in your post; it doesn't work
3) Please change the terminology to be more n00b-friendly (words I found difficult to understand, and possibly I still don't understand are "document" and "sprite")
4) There are a few gramatical errors in your guide, review it. (Luckily I think people will still be able to tell what you mean and that's most important.

Anyway, thanks again and I'll post some samples of my work in an edit later!

PS: your guide DOES work for Microsoft photo editor (Very similar to photoshop, so it should work there too.)

werewolf kinglord -> RE: Dux's Guide to animation (12/31/2005 22:15:21)

actually i think he ment to keep from shifting and moving around cause if u do that the person wont do anything, each sprite in a sprite sheet iz almost always different, if it is wat im saying blompy u copy the whole frame and paste it so u hav two of the same then u copy the next sprite over one of the copied ones and align them at the feet or shadow and that should keep it from shifting around

(same applys to werewolf kinglord, notice his shifts)

This is a Fire Emblem sheet of Jaffar to use as an example. Use it as a template for this guide.

Open another document. Copy and cut the first sprite from the sheet and paste it in your newly made document.

Then do the same with the second sprite. Zoom in on the first one before you paste the second one though. Make sure that their shadow's match in this case. (Trust me)

i dont get that part, can any1 help me?

how do i copy and cut the 1st sprite frm this???

chickenbakeok -> RE: Dux's Guide to animation (1/2/2006 18:13:51)

look at my post, its nearly the same

1000 Hits!!

imatureflip22 -> RE: Dux's Guide to animation (1/2/2006 18:17:44)

then how do you copy and cut?

chickenbakeok -> RE: Dux's Guide to animation (1/2/2006 18:22:18)

instead of copy and cut the pic, copy and paste the whole document so u hav two then edit one of them by putting the next sprite ontop of it to make the t\shadow or feet match which keeps it from shaking

imatureflip22 -> RE: Dux's Guide to animation (1/2/2006 19:28:06)

cabracadabra -> RE: Dux's Guide to animation (1/2/2006 20:15:31)

chickenbakeok -> RE: Dux's Guide to animation (1/2/2006 20:22:26)
