lol

the pokemon is a bit blurry tho, try not to save as jpeg, it messes up the pic ture and adds color dirt around the pic but still good[:D]

Zero Hex -> RE: CBO'S Guide To Splicing!!! (1/3/2006 8:41:43)

:O So that's splicing. I thought it was cutting off parts...and editing them, and putting them back on the original picture. I learned something. :O

onizahkeado -> RE: CBO'S Guide To Splicing!!! (1/3/2006 10:50:20)

Yes Zero, there are different levels to sprite splicing, although i didnt know how to make the splices before, i did know the different levels of splicing. here they are.
*i made up these levels but i like the level system i made XD*
Level 1- Taking two or three sprites, and using two of the other sprites to add on to the base sprite or main sprite you are adding on to

Level 2- Using 3 or 5 sprites, and adding on to the main one, using smaller peices at times to make a pattern,

Level 3- using 4 to 8 sprites and working on each peice seperatly before adding on, including layering which is using sprites on top of eachother to make a better effect

Level 4 -advanced layering 10 to 15 sprites,, using small sprite peices to layer and cause a pattern of scales, flame effect etc.

Level 5 Extreme layering, small bits carefully assembled to make awsome flames etc. Great over all work

Summary. Sprite splicing looks great at more advanced levels and good at lower, but the more effort and detail and attention you use, the better it looks.

In paint you can rotate objects aka sprite peices, use this to make flames in any direction, good spikes, and more Chicken bake ok shows level 1 or 2 for the mos part but 4 sometimes, that is not a bad thing it helps us learn, not to mention i bet he can go to level five if he wants

wow great job on the splice looks great and also good job on the recoloring[:D]

Memorex -> RE: CBO'S Guide To Splicing!!! (1/7/2006 19:18:30)

it's like the buddys, if you want to make a good one, you can put all your parts on the smae docment and work from their with out having to go back to the sprit typr thing page

nvm good gj

GodOfTheMajin -> RE: CBO'S Guide To Splicing!!! (1/7/2006 21:05:00)

chickenbakeok, was that comment to me? If so I didn't just do the basic recolor stuff. I recolored every single pixel around the edges also. That was the most time consuming part.

chickenbakeok -> RE: CBO'S Guide To Splicing!!! (1/7/2006 23:32:00)

yes it was to you and yes thats wat ur supposed to do, color every pixel[:D]

Wingnut -> RE: CBO'S Guide To Splicing!!! (1/8/2006 16:16:29)

Luigio97 -> RE: CBO'S Guide To Splicing!!! (1/8/2006 17:14:08)

Hey chickenbakeok. I just tried to p.m you but your box is full, so I'll ask my question here. O.k, I've gotten my sprite done and have chosen the box to get rid of the white as it said in the tutorial, but when I uploaded it to photobucket it stills shows a small sprite on a large white page. What have I done wrong and what should I do?
Thanks,
-Luigio97

chickenbakeok -> RE: CBO'S Guide To Splicing!!! (1/8/2006 17:47:09)

select the sprite and move it to the top right then select the blue dot on the edge of the document and move it so the white box is smaller, i hav to get off now, if u dont understand still ill try to get online at night[:D]

Luigio97 -> RE: CBO'S Guide To Splicing!!! (1/8/2006 17:51:12)

Thanks, I got it to work. What do you think of it? It's a basic head transplant and recoloring [:D]
