Turian -> RE: Sword Signature Tutorial (2/8/2008 16:32:33)

okay embarrising to sound noobish but what is a C4D, and if i have to download anything no thanks, but if someone could send me some whatever they are i would be happy

zenron the great -> RE: Sword Signature Tutorial (2/8/2008 17:20:53)

C4D stands for Maxon Cinema 4D. Were actually talking about a render made in that program. They can be downloaded in alot of places.

Bone_funny -> RE: Sword Signature Tutorial (2/8/2008 19:31:15)

i kinda followed it...

Added to my list (First tut I have saved !!) I will try this as soon as i get an AA part :-)

Fartix -> RE: Sword Signature Tutorial (2/11/2008 20:16:54)

...as soon as I find something that looks like "Color Dodge" and "Linear Dodge" on GIMP, I can start...

Bone_funny -> RE: Sword Signature Tutorial (2/11/2008 20:20:17)

just do dodge

Fartix -> RE: Sword Signature Tutorial (2/11/2008 21:21:55)

Oh, ok.

I used a combination of Dodge and Lighten Only, just using whichever looked better.

It relates to this week's theme, so theoretically, I could use this in the SotW...

Gilgamesh -> RE: Sword Signature Tutorial (2/12/2008 2:41:11)

Nice tut it was useful some what, I started using this tut then I went on my own since I'm using GIMP and this is what I got.

[image]http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/dd77/GameMaster200/C4D.jpg[/image]

I don't think it's to bad.

Brownie -> RE: Sword Signature Tutorial (4/26/2008 5:27:35)

I'm new to the whoole shortening of GIMP users, so what does c4d mean?
I am no newbie to GIMP itself though...

Sonicbeam -> RE: Sword Signature Tutorial (4/26/2008 6:01:51)

Look at page 1 and 2 to find out what C4D means.
I have been looking at this tut for ages but I haven't been bothered to do it yet.

crazysk8er -> RE: Sword Signature Tutorial (4/26/2008 6:57:26)

C4D = Cinema 4D

usually its a slang term for a c4d render, which you can find easily. checking the resource section would probably be a good way to start looking.

Mo -> RE: Sword Signature Tutorial (4/26/2008 10:30:27)

Wow...I looked at the first at the first few replies and I thought, "What? This all happened today?" then I found out it was at 2006.

I'll try to do this in GIMP (don't know how to make photo filters or apply image effect in GIMP)

Sonicbeam -> RE: Sword Signature Tutorial (4/26/2008 10:54:47)

If I had some decent C4D's I would try this tut.

photo filters are the same thing as gradient maps i think.

To do a Photofilter in GIMP, make a new layer and fill it with a color, then change the layer's Blending Modes and Opacity.

For Apply Image, go to Edit >> Copy Visible, then paste it on a new layer.

Mo -> RE: Sword Signature Tutorial (4/26/2008 14:39:08)

Thanks Fartix.

hachimangu -> RE: Sword Signature Tutorial (4/26/2008 15:14:26)

Wow, that's awesome. I'm gonna try this. I love your result.
