According to the precise Mayan Calendaring system. So far it hasn't missed any major events that were logged into it. Some believe aliens helped them design it, and that is why they dissapeared.

P.S. I'm gullible.

Circuit -> RE: LORE, STORY - Tales of the Bizzare?!?! (1/2/2007 0:28:11)

755 is also like the number 666, or the mark of the beast that shows negativity, it appears everywhere. Math answers, first couple of serial numbers on an X-Box 360, even prices. Too bad not much important events happened in the year 755. And the Mayans are most likely to be wrong because the chances ar emost likely they found that by religion or whatever else. I didn't watch the special on Armageddon week except about the last days on earth and the antichrist. People think that the asteriod ( i forgot name ) could hit on friday the 13th 2029 which i think we will stop.

Azerkail -> RE: LORE, STORY - Tales of the Bizzare?!?! (1/2/2007 0:59:59)

755 can be obtained from or falls in the categories of the following (Quotes box any formulae)...

Numbers of form n + (n+1)^2.
Can be obtained as sum of Smarandache mirror sequence terms.
Values of Fibbonacci polynomial n^2-n-1 for n=2,3,4,5,..
quote:

Not of form k + [ sqrt(k) ], k integer.
a(n)=sqrt( n(n+1)(n+2)(n+3) + 1 ).

Number of benzenoids with 22 hexagons, C_(3h) symmetry, and containing n carbon atoms

Numbers whose set of base 5 digits is {0,1}.

Number of fractions in Farey series of order n.
quote:

a(n) = 1+Sum_{i=1..n} phi(i).
a(n) = n(n+3)/2 - Sum(k = 2 to n, a([n/k])).

Expansion of x^2*(1+x-x^2)/((1-x^2)*(1-x)^2).
quote:

a(0)=0, a(n) = floor(a(n-1)+sqrt(a(n-1))+1) for n > 0

Primes with digits (0,1) taken as base 2 and converted to base 10.

a(1)=a(2)=1; for n >= 1, a(n+2)=a(n+1)+a(n)+(-1)^n.
quote:

for n>4 a(n-2) = floor( 2*PHI^n/sqrt(5)) +(1+(-1)^n)/2

a(n) = 2*Fibonacci(n-2)+(-1)^n.

Square-free numbers beginning with 7.

Sum of three distinct positive cubes.

Numbers n such that n^4 is an interprime = average of two successive primes.

Numbers n such that numerator of Bernoulli(2n) is divisible by 67, the third irregular prime.

Least non-trivial multiple of the n-th prime beginning with 7.

Sum of digits of n-th prime equals sum of digits of n.

Positive integers n such that n+d+1 is prime for all divisors d of n.

Numbers n such that 2*6^n -1 is prime.

Let S_n be the infinite sequence formed by starting with n and repeatedly reversing the digits and adding 16 to get the next term. Sequence gives number of steps for S_n to reach a cycle, or -1 if no cycle is ever reached.

Multiples of 5 having only odd digits.

Conjectured values for the minimal number a(n) so that the 'reverse and add!'-algorithm in base n does not terminate in a palindrome. If there is no such number in base n, then a(n) := -1.

n - 4^k is a prime or 1 for all k > 0 and n > 4^k.

Main diagonal of square maze arrangement of natural numbers

n such that prime(n)*prime(n+1) - 1 is semiprime.

Triangle, read by rows, where T(n,k) equals the least m>0 that produces the maximum number of partial quotients in the simple continued fraction expansion of (1/n + 1/k + 1/m).

Numbers n such that Sum_{k=1..n} Catalan(k) == 2 mod 3.

Numbers n such that GCD(n!+1, n^n+1) > 1.

Just discovered this,
At the end of the Carnax war, he says------------------------------>"I AM FREE"
Put into numbers------------------------------------------------------>7 - 1 13 - 6 18 5 5
Remove the middle four numbers and you get--------------------->755
Then take the numbers you removed and add them toghether--->1+13+6+18= 36
Change that into letters and you get--------------------------------->J <----Spoooooooky

And another math-type coincidence---------------------------------->C A R N A X
In numbers-------------------------------------------------------------->3 1 18 14 1 24 = 61
put back into letters----------------------------------------------------> I <---who could they mean?

Alphonse -> RE: LORE, STORY - Tales of the Bizzare?!?! (1/3/2007 11:47:54)

Well, it's over fellas. I'm afraid NOVA has beaten us thouroughly. Wanna know how I figure? Well, the other day, as I was preparing to leave my friendly neighborhood Wendy's to go home after lunch, I meandered into the thoughtfully provided restroom so I could wash my hands. As I went to dry them off, I happened to look at the electrical hand dryer I was using...
It was made by NOVA. It had the word NOVA, in big blue and red right on the front. If those bloody Vesperians are so well entrenched that they have the time and inclination to make restroom facility supplements, then they must be so far ahead of us we have no chance of stopping them. It's irrefutable proof of the end, guys. It's been a pleasure knowing you all...

Gimme a while, and I'll see if I can find a picture...
Found it: The END is Here!

PS: What would we call a foron on the IRC? An "Ircoron" looks right, but when said aloud, it's off a little. So, I vote for an "Erkoron". It looks AND sounds right, plus it has a nice play-on-words, or rather, play-on-word, built right in.

In the Bible, ACTS 7:55 reads:

quote:

But he, full of the Holy Spirit, gazed into heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God.

The Tacoma Mall Transit Center line between the Tacoma Mall and Parkland arrives at 7:55 once a day at Steele and 96th street.

A new movie is being released this year, 5:57

It has to do with a man that blacks out for 25 minutes between 5:32 PM and 5:57 PM, and finds his girlfriend has been murdered.

In the Sahih Bukhari, Volume 5, Book 57, it mentions the companions of the prophets of Muhammed, the prime figure of the Islamic faith.
