Hias. :D Did you take the idea of making this thread from Chii? :P I did not particularly talk to Chii one way or the other about it Do you believe global warming is existent? Er. thats not a matter of theorizing. Global Warming IS existant. The real question is whether or not it is significant. I think we have the capacity to make the earth a much much less pleasant place for us. I also believe that the evidence is strong that given time Earth is self correcting and do not like alarmist rhetoric. In your opinion, do you believe Britney Spears (among other celebrities) should be locked up somewhere far away, in a dark, scary place for a very long time? No... they should be ignored. My spouse is a staff Legend herself so is largely supportive (Liliana) 2. Does she play any of the Games? Intermittently 3.Do you think that AQ needs it own version of the Design Notes that DF has? Eh... the Design Notes are an interesting snapshot and there has been some discussion of a Story Developers Blog or even podcast for AQ but time is limited for us and we tend to be quite busy. 4. Will some of the Staff's family ever get a NPC version of themselves added to the games(Warlic's Daughter) Potentially, wun-eye's children were implemented. 5. Will we ever visit your Home Planet or find out what Eldron the Good was talking about in GreenGuard Forest? This is two questions. The first remains to be seen. There are no plans for such but I shall never say never. The second presuposes an answer to an unanswered question. Since I am still not prepared to verify your supposition I can only say Mu. 6.Does the'Galin know of your Presence on Lore and will it affect his actions? He knows. Anything further would be covered under my NDA 7.Will Other Gods be showing up on Lore? There are no such plans at the moment per se. Hey Falerin Current world issue which concerns you the most? Wow this is beyond broad. What defines the boundaries of a world issue. Considering internationalism. I would say equal justice for all. Would you consider taking up the Debate club Application process or are you just too busy? I volunteered at one point to do just that. I am deemed too overworked. Not by me but by others. It's probably a fair assessment. I hope to become a professional tennis player in two years... maybe you might see me on tv someday. At times the border on infantile but there is also a rather substantial component of this community that is far more mature then age alone might indicate. How did you and Maxwell come up with the idea to use MySpace and other online media as part of the story development for the Truth Saga? Do you think it was more, less, or as effective as you'd hoped it would be? Maxwell initiated this and I more or less followed suit. Viral ad campaigns have used myspace before and it has become almost common in that environment. I think it has been a rather effective mechanism How do you feel about the direction the saga has taken in terms of the roleplaying aspect and the development of the Truth Seekers? What would you change or do differently if we were to start over again, if anything? I am pleased. There have been rough edges certainly but the point of an RPG is not complete direction. This is why AQ alone or any CRPG can never be a true RPG. We are expanding that horizon in exciting ways. I therefore would change nothing Do you prefer to come up with a detailed backstory for a character before ever writing anything with him in it, or start with a vague sketch of his personality and past, and see where it takes him as you go along? I do believe that if we can be cleaner that we should not refuse to do so for economic gain 2) Is it the same as the Greenhouse effect? No. The Greenhouse Effect is but one component of Global Warming 3) What are your thoughts on cloning, be it on humans or animals? Making such acts illegal just encourages them to occur without proper oversight. Such actions are inevitable. Some of the debate from some religious groups is fairly silly. The idea that a clone would lack a soul for instance has absolutely no basis in any kind of scripture at all and is an invention. Unfortunately human cloning has very serious other ethical problems. Among them the fact that the clone's DNA will be effective the age of it's parent at the time of cloning. This has to do with the length of telomeres end caps at the end of our dna that effectively prevent DNA from being destroyed. Evertime a cell divides it's telomere's shorten. Somatic cells therefore used to clone individuals will have quantitatively shorter lives unless some means of reversing this trend exists first. Something discussed at length here. The movie The Island and other things of the sort are interesting additional problems but largely they are far far off as they are not only expensive they are technically far from feasible and morally squelched.
