Alnaphar
Location: Battleon > Travel Map > Go South > Alnaphar
Alnaphar... A hidden valley not far from Smoke Mountain. A woman called Halliphax, wearing both regal armor and a strange shadowy robe, has appeared in town to tell of this place, lost to memory for a long time. As you approach, the sulfuric clouds that surround Smoke Mountain seem to be replaced by the pure smell of a thunderstorm. The humidity in the still air of Alnaphar is a thick barrier protecting the dark volcanic rock of the valley, and something else...
Halliphax: [Your name]! It is good to see you have come to Alnaphar. There are great challenges ahead for you.
Halliphax: I have been the Gatekeeper of this hidden valley for so long that it is hard for me to allow others to enter, but I have no choice.
Halliphax: Here is kept some of the mightiest equipment ever foraged in this world: the Reign set and the Shadow Set.
Halliphax: The Reign Set consists of the Reign Plate armor, the Reign Defender shield, and the ReignBringer sword.
Halliphax: The Shadow Set is made up of the Shadow Cloak armor, Shadowbones shield, and the Shadowspear.
Halliphax: The Reign Set is guarded within the hollows of the gigantic Reign Tree. Below the tree, hidden in the volcanic rock, the Shadow Set is kept.
Halliphax: You may only quest for one set of items at a time. To get the most powerful items, you will have to use all of your abilities. Which will you quest for now?
You get three choices: To quest for the Reign Set, To quest for the Shadow Set, and to Leave Alnaphar.
Quest for the Reign Set
During a hard climb, you notice that the Reign Tree seems to be growing from pure gold! You enter the castle resting in the boughs of the tree...
Halliphax: I am impressed with how quickly you got up here! Ehem... Anyway. THIS is the legendary Reign Tree. Nurtured by Wizards and Alchemists for centuries, this Tree is a fortress.
Halliphax: Search the halls of the Reign Tree and you will find treasures guarded by a variety of monsters. The items of the Reign Set are hidden here.
Halliphax: Beware, for there are many traps. Good luck to you!! I will be waiting for your return.

Halliphax: Welcome to the depths, brave one! Here is the Heart of Shadows, a dark sanctum carved out by a lost race of shadow beings.
Halliphax: Somewhere in these tunnels is the Shadow equipment, holding the power of the shadow beings. You must watch your step, for many dangers lie ahead.
Halliphax: It is rumored that an entire army of undead is lost down here. Don't run into them, whatever you do! Good luck. I will be waiting for your return.
