Well I thought for a while and I was thinking what is it that make enahcements so likeable, Then i realised that it must be because people can sorta get the stats they wont out of wepons.

But then I considered the down side enahcements have lead to abusive piling as piliers are able to pile and obtain high hp/mp and defences which is what lead to agialty, stat diminishing, requirments, and the forcing of us to become focus.
AND they are also extremely expansive and should not have to be used on the whole set of wepons.

Then came my idea, some of you who like abusive power aint gonna like this but unfortuantely it is ruining the game also keep in mind that everyone will get the same reduction in stats.
My idea: Instead of a BONUS /EXTRA amount of stats accroding to the number of enhacements how about, The amount of enhacments you have can be used that many times to reduce you wepons enahcements and place it into what stats you wanted.

For example.
a frostbane gives 8 support, 8dex, 8 tech and has 10 enahcements.
If i had baught all these enahcments i could. take off all 8 stats from support and take of 2 from tech and put them into strength making the sword have 10 strength, 8 dex and 6 tech.

This means slowly all the negative restriciting balance feature could be removed such as agialty, stat dimisshing many requiremnts and the piler build will not die it will merely have weaknesses but without agialty or dimishing stats will be still amazing builds.

The end factor is the creative variety that was in beta will return as their would be no need for just two types of builds, 1.the powerful pilers 2. the tanks that can survive them.

Which means say goodbye to the no brainer builds as they will return to be beatin by the smart creative builds once agian.

Also they should add an enahcemnt sell back for those who want to sell their enhacments as they dont require to switch around their wepons stats.

Best Idea I eva heard in ages. But wouldn't peoples just buy 1 set of weapons to enhance then?

^ evetually they will lose power, which means we will have to buy new wepons

Plus with the way the devs are making stats at the moment that wat we have to do that anyway as almost all new wepins have given basically is a combination of all the stats.

Also their is a limit to the amount you can switch around so the more money your are willing to spend the more you can make it have the stats you wont.

If this does becoem a problem they could slowly drop the amount of enhacments on wepons so people cant turn their wepons into Exactly what they wonted.

So basically you are not really enhancing. Just rearranging the stats? Wait so basically you are removing enhancements?

Great idea! Love it and should help alot. maybe also put a limit on them so you can't absolutely abuse stats like they would have+100 str, I already get +64 dex with certain weps. Really good idea i hope it gets passed that would help the game a lot.
V Very true, they would fail epicly lol. Srsly. Best idea EVER the mods need to know about this! it could actually save the game and get some classes like CH on par with TLM and BH in other peoples' eyes :D

Also keep in mide player have have plus 100 str stats would also have 4-5 defences xD

but yeh it may need a limit but i doubt it will become a problem.

Not removing them isah I am keeping the reason why people like enahcements while removing the negative effects it has.

@Remorse But basically you are not gaining any new stats. Just rearranging the current stats on the weapon right? Because that is what it looks like to me.

^Maybe, but it will help balance dramatically. STR abusers will focus on STR and not have any defenses. And vice versa for tech/dex abuser. They won't have any tech supp str or dex depending on what they spam

If you cant understand and you were from the beta period then think back to when their were no enahcements and think of the variety of builds and think of yes their were many good piling builds but they had wekanesses as a result.

@isiah. yes you are correct BUT
Getting bonus stats is not an advanatge to anyone if everyone has it. or are you struggling to beat non variums??? didnt think so..
Plus the evidence is in the current balance changes thye made.

Agialty was made to give pilers a weakness with high HP aloud to them by enhacments, stat dimishing same reason. requirments same reason etc.

this isn't anything new. i suggest this before about moving stats around from weapons before to allow more variety.
i also suggested that the element (physical or energy) be allowed to switch around from any weapons. (like making frostbite energy, or frostbane into physical)
this would allow for people to choose their looks and weapons along with stats.

This is a very interesting thought about stat reduction. I agree very much the problems enhancements create both within the game and economically. If this plan was put into place, how would the game generate revenue since, right now, it is basically from enhancements and weapon sales?

It sorta is new because your idea didnt have the upsaide of removing the xtra stats problems, i bet if you idea alone was in place balance would be even worse.

They could make money in many diffrent ways for instance they could use the side efefct feature to add to wepons to make money.

What do I mean?
Well if wepons could have applied side effects like for example the curse abaialty or the celtic connectivity etc.
However the current side effects on the wpeons already in place would become "rare" side effects and could no be added to wepons rather a selection of "non rare " side effects eg.5% armour ignoring, could be added for a price :)

That is just one example of what they could do.

so in ur idea u removed enhancements. it doesn't make it a whole lot different

and if they take enhancements out it also means they take out diminishing returns. aswell as agility.

but thats most likely not going to happen because enhancemens is the most used varium feature in the game and the one that generates most varium. (yeah a weapon is 1k but its 1.7k for the 10 enhancements = more from enhancements)

if urs doesn't remove the enhancements then its basically what i suggested.
and i find that better because it allows people to move around the stats putting it into having one strong side and the other side weak.
(not like these new corny armory bot items that has all spread outs stats)

The enahcemnt amount is the same,

Extra enhacments PROBLEMS is what i said, you still get the same enahcments but you dont get the bonus stats.

i never said what u suggested is stupid specially because i suggested in the past before.
but ur being confusing.
ur saying enhancements will still be here but the stats from enhancements wont apply as bonus.
which that is what i find stupid. its like just purchasing the stat but its not taking effect

but ur not being very detailed in explaining u kinda confused me with the enhancement and bonus part.

Gold, you don't LOSE stats, you re-distribute. Frostbane example: Say you have it's base 8 tech 8 dex 8 supp with 10 enchantments. Now, you can take 8 of those dex out and have 18 overall to enhance with. Now you could redistribute to let's say tech and have 26 or so. 10 enhance slots + the 8 from dex. I hope this helps

yeah thats what i suggested before. allowing us to move the enhancements around.
except for the 8 dex part.
it cant be move like 4 to str and 4 to support
it has the be the whole 8 block into another stat
however its diff with enhancements.

if thats how it is then i support

i already thought of so many builds i could do if this were implemented.
