Lol. You talk to me about paint skills [Not trying to sound conceited]

First off you don't need paint.

You can paste the render in IN gimp.

No need for paint.

Okay, I'm confused. Are you saying you can do this: in MS Paint? - If so, please explain how, I'd love to know!

spriting, is one example, another is making a set of plain black brushes in paint and using them, =) easy.

Draw them. Uh-huh. And then? What do I do with them? And how is the picture above a "brush"? I was under the impression it is the result of using certain brushes?

Legendary AK!!!

I'm no Paint expert myself but I could give your first question a go. :)

Draw a brush, then cut it out (with it set to transparent), hold down Shift, and drag it around. And that's some sort of brush.

But that's nothing but your regular old Paint option... (? Still not sure what's so sensational about it or how it would help me to draw a picture like the background above in Paint? Especially seeing as even rianwulf said it should be done in Gimp.)
You see, I do trust myself to draw a red line over the background and to download a ready-made render and paste it onto it. But I have no idea how to make a background like the one above in Paint. Self-made "brushes" or no brushes. If someone could make a tut for that? Pretty please, cherry on top?

Thank you, rianwulf, but that's just the point: I don't have Gimp. People were saying it was possible to do it in Paint. And seeing as I have no intention of downloading Gimp I would very much love to learn it in Paint.

The closest I've got to anything like that with paint only. Was to use the air brush to randommly paint lines at varying speeds to give a shading effect. And then to randomly go back over with pencil set to background color. Its not near as pretty but its similar.

I'm not on my regular computer so i don't have the option to do it, but i think that i can achieve something close like this:
1. Draw a purple thick line on a new picture
2. choose a pinkish color and draw some thiner lines at the borders of the thick line
3. save this file as a .jpg format - since this format decreses the quality a bit, it will give that blury look.
4. open a new paint window and go to Edit->Paste From... and choose the line you made earlier
5. when you paste, make sure you have white as the transperent color and paste on a green area. ckean the extra white spots that you have remaining.

Repeat steps 1-3 and make some more lines in diffrent thickness and diffrent length. in order to save some times you can duplicate some of the lines and just rotate them (using the flip/rotate command)
Spray some purple on it

Final settings - just continue all the purple lines where it looks like they get cut by another pink line from above by drawing some purple on it.

Save the background itself as a jpg to make it a bit more blurry (repeat if neccesery).
then paste it like before on a new picture and add everything else
At the moment i get to my own computer - i'll post the results and see if it's effective but untill then you can try alone.
EDIT: fixed my spelling...

EDIT2:
It's not possible in paint even with the auto blurring when saving as a jpg, but please PM me dewdrop fairy, since i might have a solution for your problem...

Why the heck do you need Paint at all? If you have gimp, you don't need paint.
