The Dragon King: Charge of the Vartai

Location: Dragonspine Mountains » 4: The Dragon King Part I

Cyrus: Forgive my sudden request to meet with you, «You», but there's a bit of an issue beginning to rear its ugly head around Battleon and other towns.
«You»: Another evil Dracomancer out to take your empire?
Cyrus: No...Something a bit worse. There have been sightings of something I'd hoped to find never again this far north.
Cyrus: If what my scouts tell me is true, there's a scouting party for a very large of warriors coming from the far southern islands. Sheila herself is searching the town for any signs of them now.
«You»: Will she be okay? I thought she was captured by Bradakhan the last time she wandered off on her own.
Cyrus: She'll be fine. She went five years in Battleon without any humans noticing her. I seriously doubt these Vartai will be much more observant than you.
«You»: Vartai? What's that?
Cyrus: The Vartai are a race of half-dragons that have been around for almost as long as humans themselves. About 500 years ago, they split into two clans by elements.
Cyrus: The southern clan, which made its way to islands far off the coast of Lore, is mostly Fire, Earth and Water dragons. The northern clan is largely Wind, Energy and Ice-based.
«You»: But, that would mean you and Sheila are both Vartai.
Cyrus: Correct. There are many more like us, too. Galanoth will jump out of his armor when he finds out about the other ten thousand or so living in Dragonspine.

«Sheila enters»

Sheila: Seems your friend her catches on quick.
Cyrus: Sheila! What did you find?
Sheila: Grave danger for all. The attack force didn't come from south, as we expected.
Sheila: They went around the eastern edge of the continent, and arrived about a day's journey east of Battleon.
Cyrus: They're already here? Blast it all...Why are they coming this far north? They haven't even made contact with the humans that I know about since the two clans split apart.
Sheila: I have no idea, brother, but I overheard some talk about their plans. They're going to force their way through Battleon--
Sheila: - Then make their way to Dragonstone and Dragonspine from the ruins.
Cyrus: .. The headquarters of the Dragonslayers and Dracomancers? There is no way that can end well. Warrior, go warn the rest of the town.
Cyrus: I have to make my way to Dragonstone and tell Galanoth. If these Vartai are still as powerful as I remember, we're going to need all the help we can get just to save our hides.

WAR CAMP
DRAGONS!
The Vartai are headed for town! We must meet them in battle before they arrive and defeat their forces to save Battleon. Our scouts tell us that the enemy's front line consists only of dragons. The Vartai themselves will only join the battle if we survive long enough!

Cyrus: Hm? You don't quite seem like yourself, Slayer.
Galanoth: I am more than Galanoth. Now, I am something far greater than he.

Galanoth transforms into the Dragon King.
