@glai
...And that BA is the precise reason it is better. -100 immo for 3 turns is insane, it has top spot.

As good as NG TerriFi is, Dharmahp's triggers give it priority IMO, plus the Head and FA both has a multitude of uses plus great damage. The BS/FS of NG TerriFi and Dhramhp both are bad, so we can ignore those... overall Dharmahp imo.

The TerriFi's shoulders aren't so bad. Not useless like the Dharmahp's are
TerriFi with defaults can beat all of Necryptos X A and B besides the castle. Can the Dharmahp?
In addition, TerriFi is excellent at getting high damage. This is nothing to judge a mecha by though.

Also, stun is dying. The staff have learned about how much stuff we use it for and have made enemies which it fails against. I'm currently trying to guess what the next awesome thing will be, the latest challenge (Necryptos X B) was beatable by IDoTs/high damage single hit and high damage. Reflection might stay awesome, but now that they have introduced overdrive, I am not sure.

IMO, NG TerriFi>Dharmahp.

Anyway, aren't we talking in terms of damage? If we include other effects, ARH>all. Maybe not ARH, but still, not the Dharmahp or the TerriFi.

Also, for this little argument of the Dharmaph's shoulders being useless, the damage is only "useless" because you need to use more activations to get the same damage, but given enough activations it should prove to be deadly. It's a moderate and fair increase that doesn't super-exponentially increase like the terrifi's (which are outright ridiculous at 1.3X*1.3^Y). It's more moderate and is less susceptible to misses because it's two hits instead of one.

True, but when the other pieces start off at damage which they only achieve when they cap/come close to capping, and have other effects, they are useless. In addition to superior damage, Terrifi's also have other effects, such as increasing crit chance and laceration.

And is Terrifi really exponential? I thought it was just 1.3X+.3XY. I need to go see test that, if it is, why the heck have I been using the BA all this time? (Definitely not exponential)
Test results:
120, 131, 153, 205, 447 crit (223)
111, 147, 356 crit (178) 206, 195, 231

Not exponential. Still better than Dharmahp though.

And damage increases every use (At least according to the pedia. Definitely every use on the BA) rather than every hit, so the terrifi is less susceptible to missing.

I personally love the Lucky Nubertron most. At level 31 and 200 Power, its FA can potentially hit over 300 damage. The level noobifying is a nice incentive as well. The Head's also got a small -15 Defence nerf that helps slightly against enemies like Reconnaiscythe or Techdorah with their -30 BtH nerf.

No, that means you have higher damage potential WHEN you hit. Doesn't mean less missing. More usage =/= less missing.

And exponential means each attack is more powerful than the last that does not increase on a linear scale, but rather the gap increases between each one. 1.3X = X + .3X. My formula, expanded, has X as base, and Y as usuage. Take a look at this, with 6 uses.

(1.3X)*1.3^6 = 1.3X*(1.3*1.3*1.3*1.3*1.3*1.3). The TI-83 also confirms the damage to be exponential.

Well, Dharmahp gives more missing, just less lost on each miss. Assuming it is every use as well, not sure. Terrifi loses damage done in the short term, but nothing in terms of the damage it deals.

And it isn't exponential. I wish it were, but it isn't.

It is actually, 1.5X+.3XY=1.3X+.3X+.3X+.3X...

Try it.
Tried against an extreme battle button enemy:
120, 129, 179, 198, 215, 236, 272

By my formula:
Minimum:
109.5, 131.4, 153.3, 175.2, 197.1, 21, 240.9
Maximum:
132, 158.4, 184.8, 211.2, 237.6, 264, 290.4

It consistently stays within the bounds set. The TI-84+ Silver Edition confirms my results.

Ok, so I am wrong. Regardless, the Dharmaph's shoulders are far from useless. IT only seems useless when you compare it to something like the Terrifi because the Terrifi gets a 20% heads start initially followed by a 15% advantage advantage per each use. Not really fair to compare...

I never got how people ever thought that you could make a fair comparison with two mechas that are obviously different in power and tier, and call the other one weak by the viewpoint that the other one is obviously overpowered while both still are.

And the TerriFi's lack of cap+laceration+increasing chance.

And when you compare the Dharmahp's shoulders on the Dharmahp to the TerriFi's, the Dharmahp's are practically useless. They are not too bad alone compared to a lesser mecha, but they give the TerriFi an edge against the Dharmahp, an edge which I would argue makes the TerriFi better.

Uncustomized, TerriFi definitely wins. The Dharmahp's main advantage is that the BA Can be used to make a stun-loop. The usefulness of stuns is declining though, and TerriFi's BA is also pretty amazing. Good chance for a crit, with +50% damage every turn, all with a CD of 1.

Don't get me wrong, the Dharmahp is also extremely good. I would call the TerriFi better, but both are good against different things, and both are just very good in general.

wow, with one comment.....
I still prefer Dharamp because of the stunlock, either way, you can't really compare a NG mech to a SC mech can you....?

Remember that one bug? Moon walking mechas, Knife & Spork's walkable walls?
Post your favorite gremlins here!

Meh, I loved the Knife & Spork gremlin where you could walk on that wall in the storage room. :)

I liked shopping for the Zorbo. Your enemies mobbed you, and didn't wait for you to attack before attacking, but you didn't have to wait for them.

I was one of the lucky ones though, from what I heard, some people had unwinnable quests because of it.

Few of my favorite bugs from the past:

  • The Backwards Mecha Bug [still doable]
  • Old Zargon Mod bugs which stat bonuses didn't wear off. Was possible to stack stats into the 1000's.
  • 2008 Fireworks Weapons which the NSC shoulders did insane damage (like 200-300 for level 15) due to the extra hits
  • Minty Shot bug which 5-9 extra shots depending if you were that lucky.
  • Shrinking XTreme Challenge Enemy Models [still out there]

    P.S: The Storage room isn't a bug.

Just saying, but this thread will probably get locked because it would fit here...

My favorite missions are Transmit to Artix and Fix the Satellite, among others.

My least favorite mission is The Cleanup Job (or whatever it's called) on Romero, again, among others.

Favorite.. my favorite missions are the missions that need to be finished within a time range. (I don't mean the fixing satellite one in Romero.)
The only example of one i can remember is the one from last year's Gears Games.

Least favorite is definitely the Salvage quest. It may reap good rewards but to get what you actually want, you have to hope you get an enemy, hope it drops a shop, hope the item in the shop is the one you're looking for, hope the item is on the lvl you want, then, you have to wish for the item to be the in the category (NSC/SC/NG) you're looking for.
If you lay out the odds, there's probably a 1/25 chance you'll get what you're looking for during the first 2 hours.
