thank you for the comment and compliment! i really like your interpretation of the poem. it's a much more positive outlook than the one i planned for it: inexperience (greenness: the "soft, shining" hands) leads a person to take on more than he or she can handle, and this person knows it, but refuses to relieve him or herself of said burden. the person builds something they think is perfect. eventually, though, this person is prepared to "watch" his or her work crumble, knowing it was all simply too much i feel as if i'm deluded like the speaker in "Green" sometimes, but i keep soldiering on and hope i'm capable anyway, thanks again!
