If you want, pop me a comment.

Fat Man

"There are so many opportunities in space,"
Fat Man says, chocolate dribbling down his face,
"Vast unexplored possibilities bordering the endless."
As his Mercedes swirls around some mess.

The mess sighs and looks up in dismay,
Just another homeless day.

Pretty face

Just another pretty face,
His eyes beaming with delight,
Smiling for his first picture,
A moment captured forever.

Just another pretty face,
His eyes full of concentration,
Dancing with his first date,
A love held forever.

Just another pretty face,
His eyes wet with sorrow,
Waving goodbye for his first time,
A flight taking forever.

Just another pretty face,
His eyes blank with fear,
Taking his first shot,
A scream lasting forever.

Just another pretty face,
His eyes closed and dry.
Receiving his first tribute,
A face lost forever.

Hi.

This is me.
I'm a person,
I live,
I love,
I enjoy,
And I go away.
Yet all you see,
Is my wallet.

Numbers

The government knows me as number 275687566,
The school thinks I'm 353.
But I want to tell you,
There's more to me.
I'm a person with a character,
That can't be described in digits.

I like sports, playing chess,
Hanging out with friends,
I love Italian food,
and I speak with a semi-British accent.
I'm disorganized,
And sometimes I make a mess.
I can get cranky,
But you'll always take that away.

I lay down on my feet for you,
Myself and my identity.

Say, can I have your number?

Parade

The parade starts,
Here are the organizers,
Smiling and beautiful faces
Showing the intense pride they have,
In their own nation.

The parade goes on,
The entertainers enter,
Ready to sweep up the crowd
Making them cheer,
For their own nation.

The parade goes on,
The stars enter the arena,
Cheers erupt for the gladiators
They will battle it out,
For their own nation.

The parade ends,
The common people couldn't come,
Downtrodden and poor
Would've disrupted the image,
Of their own nation.

Prison

In the prison,
He seeks peace,
He seeks to understand,
He seeks to overcome,
He seeks love.

In the prison,
No one sees him,
No one knows him,
No one helps him,
No one loves him.

In the prison,
His enemies appear,
No time for peace,
Locked up,
And still threatened.

In the prison,
He fights,
Combating his hate,
His fear,
His mind.

In the prison,
He is alone,
So he battles on,
Without help,
Without hope.

In the prison,
He has won,
His fear destroyed,
His hate,
His seclusion.

Out of the prison,
No one notices,
No one cares,
So he returns,
To what company he had.

Stop it

Highly esteemed fellow poets,
Please stop.
All your phrases and lines,
Be it praise, be it whines.
All just chip away,
from whatever is left to say.

I sit here,
trying to come up with something new to say,
While I fritter and waste the hours in an offhand way,
Yeah I know,
That line's been said long ago.

Whatever my mind comes up with,
It's never a hit.
Well, not a new one.
So since all has been said and done,
only combination is an art.

Combination makes the poem,
the lines just bricks.
Random lines tell no story,
Nor do they bring glory.

Yet again,
Highly esteemed fellow poets,
Please stop.
Don't make me double check all your work.
For combinations are finite too,
And I have other things to do.

Tomorrow

Tomorrow's the day,
That'll blow all others away.
A day so fun,
Like none has ever seen the sun.

Tomorrow's the day,
That's gonna make everythin okay,
A day so great,
Noone will know hate.

Tomorrow's the day,
That'd create some hearsay,
A day so awesome,
Everyone'll want to come.

Tomorrow's the day,
That makes us forget today,
A day so gay,
It's always just a day away.

Bodyguard.

Tingling sense of distraction,
Breaking away from the action,
That's underneath.

Turning around,
Seeing the sound,
A bird overhead.

Focusing again,
Seeing a man,
No more.

Bird in the sky,
I wonder why,
You flew above.

The man is death,
I'm left to fret,
And give myself the blame.

I drop the gun,
and break into a run,
Sirens behind me.

They won't catch the bird,
Making my voice unheard,
An alibi gone.

Scene

A man walking,
Not stalking,
But admiring the scene

A woman striding,
Not hiding,
But in full view.

Both walk to the park,
Both sit down on a bench,
Watching, living the scene.

A Kitten playing,
Not dismaying,
But enjoying every swipe.

An owl lying,
Not flying,
But pinned to the ground.

The Play is over,
The kitten crushes a clover,
As he walks away.
