I have moved this to pending guides, as The Peanut Master has passed on ownership of this guide to hauntar, but it no longer belongs in MQ GD. The new guide owner could make a new thread if necessary ~Archie

NOTICE: CRITICAL MECHA/WEAPON INFORMATION NEEDED FOR SPREADSHEET! SCROLL DOWN FOR DETAILS!

Ð created the first version...
...Waddles and Co. constructed the second version...
...and now it's back, updated, and better than ever!

Ultimate MechQuest Spreadsheet

Old Thread Link

This new and improved Ultimate MechQuest Spreadsheet is updated with all the latest weapons and equipment, along with cleaned-out and improved interfaces without losing the popular Google Documents layout. This spreadsheet is a must-have resource for serious and casual MechQuest players alike, as with one click you can see a list of every weapon and mecha in the game, conveniently listed by level requirement and included with literally everything else you'd ever want to know about it. All of the detailed information regarding the spreadsheet and how to use it is located in the spreadsheet itself, but if you happen to find any problems with the functionality, please feel free to post in this thread or PM me with your problem.

This spreadsheet wouldn't be complete without the following making huge contributions to the finished product: Sinani201, Stelarinna, STJason, Chickencowlord, Watchman, Concreta, and Hauntar. Thank you so much to all of you and it's because of you that this spreadsheet could be completed in as fast as it was! While these people have helped me directly edit the spreadsheet and what you see today, I really, really appreciate everyone who has posted in this thread, whether it be for suggestions, improvements, constructive criticism, or error corrections. I wish I could name all of you, but there's truly too many. Rest assured, you all know who you are, and I thank you very much for your help. The spreadsheet wouldn't be what it is (or anything close to what it is, come to think about it) without all of you.

If you happen to find any error whatsoever in the spreadsheet (and trust me, they are there), all you have to do is post in this thread with what weapon has incorrect information (and its equip slot, this is very important) and exactly what's wrong with it. Try to be as specific and detailed as possible so we can pinpoint and correct the error as soon and effortlessly as we can! If you also happen to have the correct information, please post that as well. If there are certain bonuses that either don't have percentages listed or important numbers aren't listed, please feel free to post in that information, since that means we weren't able to find out what it was.

Until this notice goes away, please don't post missing default weapons as we are aware of the issue and are in the process of fixing it. *IMPORTANT NOTICE*

Constructive

I'd rather see weapons posted by level.

I would to. It would make finding equipment much easier. People don't look for equipment by dmg. Of course if you could choose everyone would get the strongest weapons but people are restrained to the lvl they are at. Thus people hunt for weapons by lvl. It would make sense if you had equipment organized by lvl andby alphabetical order for each lvl. I'm not trying to rush you or demand it though because I know it would take alot of time and work.

Yea, I think I'm going to switch it now. It really isn't that difficult, as Google Docs has a very handy tool that lets you organize rows by variables, and it only takes a few clicks to change it.

Also, to the editors: We have a lot of new mechs/defaults and the Sepulchure defaults still need to be placed in, so if you have some free time I'd highly appreciate the help. Thanks! :)

EDIT: All weapons should be sorted by level requirement now!

You should also make sections that hold all the weapons of each kind, like star captain weapons, nova gems weapons, free player weapons, all have their own section and it should be organized so that it is arranged from level/damage. It would make finding certain weapons easier.

@Clouds Strike: Why would adding sections for those improve the usability of the spreadsheet? I think the current sections do the job well enough.

Oh, Golden Light Ray (FS) has an average damage of 52-62, which is NOT an average damage.

Hey SleipnirX, try posting in the Q&A.

I would say the Volt Lance.

Showing where they are bought, or what they are default on would be good.

@Peanut Master I prefer the old way the weapons are set personally, but I wouldn't mind the the by level set-up.

@Lady Kumi We're busy getting earlier releases in first, they'll be put in eventually.

@matty3350 That's already in the Spreadsheet.

Ultimately, I received a relatively high amount of PMs requesting weapons sorted by level requirement instead of total damage, and the idea continued to wear on me until I figured that the only players who would probably prefer average damage to level requirement would be the level 25s who only care about the next best weapons, and while levels 25s may make up the majority of the popularity here on the forums, most players are not actually level 25 and I decided would like it the other way more, even if they were anonymous. Still, it's not too difficult to find the best weapons, because they are all level 25 anyway, which are at the top of the list.

So that people would be able to sort through a shorter list to find the weapon they are looking for?

How 'bout we separate the default and non-default weapons, the weapon sheets are getting too long anyway

@Clouds: I don't think it's that hard for people to find what they're looking for with the current setup (especially with color separations), and the time needed to implement that would be way too long. The current system works well enough, this would only over complicate the spreadsheet.

@Watchman: That's an interesting idea, although that would force players to look at two different lists and would double the amount of sections, which is already high. Players who just recently leveled will look to see what new weapons become available and if there is a great default weapon and a great standalone weapon, they'd have to look at two different lists. The way it is now all weapons of the same slot are in one category, which makes the most sense, even if the list is a bit long.

@PM Yeah I guess so, I guess would have gave us more work if there are default and non-default versions of one weapon.

Golden Starfire Blast
Golden Starfire Revolver
Golden Starlight Ray
Golden Starlight Shaft
Golden Starlight Armour
Golden Glare
BTW these weapons are blue on the equip screen, but they are on a SC mech lol
P.S: I know you have the Golden Starlight Ray, Golden Starlight Shaft, Golden Starlight Armour and Golden Glare already, I just posted them all for clarity.

Forget that, I read the first post

Looked a bit through the spreadsheet.. but didn't find any typos or things wrong except from a few missing links the spreadsheet should be almost 100% complete :P

@1337 Chocolate: Everything is ranked by level and not damage now, so I'm not sure how I could possibly implement that idea without seriously wrecking the organization of the spreadsheet.

Edit: Quick update on the new anniversary mechs: All of the mechs have been put in as well as half the defaults, and the other half will hopefully be added in within the next two day. After that I'll focus on adding in the defaults for the Sepulchure series (the mech entries are already in), and finally I will add in the mech and default entries for the surprisingly missing Drakel Power Armor series (non-rare).

Golden Starlight Shaft attack is supposed to be 50-64 and not 48-68. Golden Glare Reduces Enemy Chance to Hit By 40% For 3 Turns. Can you fix them please?

can i ask why there is an ammo (AM) column? due to the low number of weps with ammo limits i think its kinda unneccisary

also, i dunno if its just me, but where have all the front arm pedia links gone?
