hmm...good point Randy.
i prefer B&W because it is good for capturing the emotion sadness, which for me is difficult in color. selective color...now that is one emo looking tool...im going to have fun with that one!

Gothic art Or Emo art Can sometimes be over the edge, But other times, It can be the Perfect thing for a Piece. I like to call it Seen Art

I really consider the Black&White photography better when picturing the urban nature. It kinda reflects their vague meanings and the useless effort of humanity to overcome nature.. Color pictures on the other hand are best shown on nature... The beauty of nature can only be shown from the eyes of an artist they say.. :P

Full color is just to capture the whole aspect of the photo

Selective B&W photography has a focal and mainly only a few main points in it.

anyway...
I'm not sure but maybe it's just me but the activity here seems to be less
i also think that maybe some people are leaving due to little comments or right now it's hard to get comments but anyway....
i think that the activity here it kinda really few..
it there possibly a way to boost the activity here?

You know, I'm really not sure what happened to SOTW. Although, the moderation team here seem pretty inactive nowadays. That may be the reason. Or it could be just because nobody ever entered it.

I think zen is right about the moderating team they may not have the time to do that. It takes awhile around here for some things to get done so that may just add to their list of things to do. I think bringing it back would be nice though but only if the mods were active enough to run it.

Im not sure how/why mods are chosen I guess thats up to them. If they felt they needed assistance I guess they wouldve chosen someone already.

The Creative art moderation team was a 4 man team. We have ichar, who doesn't mod anymore(I don't think). nicky, don't know what happened to him. Reverendwyrm who has always been quiet, so we never know if he is active or not, and finally we have grafth. The main guy on the mod team. He seems to be slowly getting more and more inactive. Sad to see really. I've been posting here for 2 and a half years, and the people who were posting back then are dropping like flies.

Yea i just checked the thread on who has mod powers in this area and those are them. And yea it takes longer and longer for applications to the gallery to be approved and even though its not widespread sometimes there are arguments that go unchecked. Ive been here for awhile now too and yea there are not many left.

Zenron:Nicky's a girl . Rev works for AE so he doesn't post much. iChar is still modding though he's inactive. And Grafh is the only mod.

the activity here is starting to decrease and the editing threads are almost dying! i know the editing threads attract artists to joint the creative art! well that's what i think
i really don't want to see the gallery area die... if that's even possible not sure..
if it does were will we go? T_T

It wont die if push comes to shove theyll add more to the modding team. Nicky is still around she does the multi purpose thread in the sig and art requests area. If it really gets out of hand someone will appoint a few people to get things going again.

Guys, try to get back to the original question.
And, I'd just like the clarify what Mo said. CA only has one mod. Then 4 other AKs (iChar, Nicky, Reverend, and myself). As for Perso, he's now a general Moderator, thus he'll have even more on his plate.
With that being said, lets get back to illusion99's original question. ; )

Not everybody in the gallery does sigs. Take da AK above me ^
So we'd need something everybody'll be interested in.

If people get approved faster, they'll have more interest here. So get another person to do the approvals?

I didnt even see the original question man im losing it. I agree with blane people arent getting approved quickly enough. I also think we should have more contests and tournaments. special titles dont have to be given out but I think increasing competition will bring more activity

I would just like to be AoTM once. *Sigh* Don't we all.... The Inactivity of the GoCA is really high and I think that a Lama should help with the approvals or the locking of stuff. Jk, well not really. Also the actvivity in the gallery is really low. /me wants more activity and wants moar postehz fur teh pplz whu maek tagzehz Woot English sucks :D

I've noticed that not only has there been a lack of activity, there also seems to be a lack of original art. Just about all the gallerys left are DA, edits are becoming harder to find, and likewise with handdrawn. Because of this, i think forumites assume the gallery is only for DA, so the dont apply. And those who do dont get approved for a month, or at all.
