omg, totr knows about the BREE D:

getting back to topic, i would totally go out with diSEMBOWELMENT - The Tree of Life and Death. Its a Death/Doom song, so it goes from fast to slow alot. I want people to mourn for me during the slow parts, and then MOSH during the fast parts. \m/

Hmm, I have a new topic for discussion, unless the old one has to be inactive for a week.

Why do you make art?
Is it to see the finished result, or for what leads towards that finished result?
Or is something different entirely?

For me it's the destination, seeing what I can make, because I hate to see things unfinished, which leads to me giving up on something if I don't finish it it one sitting.

Hmmm... I've never been much of an artist until I found flash and computer graphics. My hand drawing really sucks. When I say it does, it does. It's a form of self expression, but much more a way of passing the time. It's just enjoyable and it soaks up hours at a time. It's like music for some people.

I think words are awesome as well, but i prefer persuasive writing as opposed to creative writing. If that makes sense.

It's interesting to see the reasons why people do art.



When I was in greece there was some great grafitti. It was about obama, osama and yo momma. I'll try to find it for you guys.

I make art cause its a casual hobby of mine. I like challenging things and this is one of them. I also do it to benefit others on the forum with my art shop. and like althorne: i cant draw to save my life.

I make art because I want to see what I can do. I want to see if I truly have a gift. I want to see what I can think on paper and more. I just want to do art for the shake of art.

It keeps me occupied at times when nothing else can. Without it I would be walking around in circles whining about the lack of stuff to do.

When you'd have to sit at school for hours a day, having nothing to do at all, because you can pass for any test by reading the text only once, you'd start drawing too...
No, I've been drawings since I was... three years old, or something? I just need to create things. It feels like a day's wasted when I haven't created anything, be it art or a part of one of my games. Unless I see a bird species I've never seen before, then my day is perfect no matter what.
It's also for those rare moments that I go: 'Wow! I can't believe I made that.' when a piece is finished, and it gives me great satisfaction when I've produced something good.
I love to create fantasy worlds, too, and the only way to really do that is by drawing. I'm just always full of ideas, and since I suck at writing and am not bad at drawing, I draw my ideas.

I make digital art, because I like how you never run out of ink, or that the crayons are never broken, wich happens to me everytime I try to hand-draw. I suppose why I enjoy making art is most of my stuff is humorus animatons, and I enjoy seeing people laugh. Other times, I just get an insanely awesome idea for the modern-day Mona Lisa. It often changes in the production and turns into an animated atickman hving pieces of a slie thrown at him.

Well, scratch what I said, because art, to me, is much more superficial to me.

To me, art is nothing, I make art neither for the journey, for the destination, nor to make people happy.
I make art so that people will notice me.
I am an egotistical attention-seeker who just wants attention, to be noticed, and I go about that with art.
Feel free to ridicule my reason, it's an opinion, and it shant be changed unless I wish to change it.
However, some art I do enjoy making.
Experementing with results, seeing what looks good, always curious to try new things, and if I don't like a result, try something else!

Art is just a word to express the meaning of something that makes the human soul more sensible... When people really like what I do, my mind jsut wants to do more... That feeling is addictive... So I do art for the feeling after I finish it and for fun..... In any case the fun part is better xD
The end or the start does NOT matter... The middle does.... I am trying to improve myself so users can amuse themself of my sadic stickman hurting xD Ok I'm not that sadic.... But once in awhile it is nice to make a stickman suffer. *innocent puppy eyes*
