Spoiled Child

My lives, they are all
Dwindling away
Needlessly because
I try too hard to
Get people to like
Me. I'm a pushy
Bastard, I yearn for
People to like me
And sometimes it takes
Time for people to
Take a shine to me,
To just understand
That I'm like a spoiled
Child, and I just want
People to notice.

Dream

Sleep engulfs me, my
Eyes turn to lead as
My head rests gently
On the pillow. A
Dream floats down into
My mind and I am
Thrown onto a path.
I look behind me
And I see that one
Person that I used
To love. She cries out
For me to rescue
Her as a dragon
Scoops her up. "Too late
Babe, you had your chance."

Losing Everyone

I'm just sitting here
Minding my own way,
Watching the world pass
Me by as I just
Twiddle my mobile
Phone in my fingers,
Praying that it will
Ring, praying somebody
Wants to speak to me.
I can't stand silence.
Right now anyone's
Voice would sound like
A sweet symphony.
I miss everyone.
I want you all back.

Habore = Reacting violently when provoked.

Act 1 - Home Truth

"I thought you hated
Her? Don't give me that
Confused look, you know
You've always hated
Her, just because she's
Ginger. It seems it's
Only been since I've
Taken a shine to her
That you've given a
Damn. You think that you're
Better than me, you
Think she'll choose you in
Place of me, but here's
A home truth, sunshine.
You haven't a chance."

Act 2 - A Bitter Picture

I could picture it,
You and her, standing
In front of me. You're
Well aware that
I can see you and
You flauntingly kiss
Her. You can hear my
Teeth grinding as my
Fist clenches, but you
Know I won't react.
I made a promise
That I wouldn't lose
My temper after
What happened last time.
You laugh at my pain.

Act 3 - Bursting the Banks

You keep flaunting her
In my face, knowing
I will keep to my
Promise. I won't hurt
You, no matter how
Much you make me cringe
When you purposely
Point out that you got
The girl. I know that
I won't last, my rage
Is bubbling to
The point of bursting
It's banks. You have no
Idea how hard this is.
I can't bear this pain.

Act 4 - Over the Edge

I've had it! This is
The last straw! I can't
Bear this pain any
Longer! You need a
Taste of your very
Own medicine! How
Does it feel to have
Your heart ripped out of
Your chest!? I know it
Hurts! I've been there! I
Know the sting! I've felt
It once and I swore
I'd never feel it again!
But you pushed me just
That one step too far!

Act 5 - Remorse

"I know I didn't
Keep to my promise.
I'm sorry, but I'm
Only human. I make
Mistakes, as do you
And as does every
Other person that
Walks the earth. I just
Hope that you can let
This slide, I broke a
Promise, and I know
I went too far, but
Everyone has their
Limit. I just want
One final chance, Sam."

Yes.
I know this should /technically/ be 5 poems.
But these 5 poems make up a short story.
And each act is like a chapter.
Therefore, I made it one big poem.

Stray From the Path

Satan, please lead me
Away from this path
Of righteousness. I
Know I was stupid
To think that I would
Enjoy a life without
Sin, and I hope to
Learn the error of
My ways. Take me on
A trip, let me know
What it's like to sin.
I know God shall smite
Me for saying this,
But I want to be
A sinner for once.

From Work to You

Every day I'm forced
To work harder, but
If I work any
Harder I'll explode
From the pressure. The
Only comfort I
Have is that I'll be
Able to see your
Smiling face when I
Get back home. If it
Weren't for you I don't
Think I'd be able
To carry on like
This. You really are
Amazing, you know that?

I see you walking
Past the same coffee
Shop every day. You
Always look like a
Goddess, although you've
Only met me once.
I bumped into you
On your way past the
Coffee shop, and I
Smelt your perfume. On
That day I became
Intoxicated
By you. One day I'll
Approach you and ask
You what your name is.

Don't Give Up

I fall to the floor,
Gasping for breath, "I
Can't take it any
Longer. I give up."
I lift my knees up
To my head and cry,
Tears staining the floor.
I hear a voice, from
A place far in the
Back of my mind, "Don't
Give up," it whispers,
I don't know who said
It, but I trust them.
I stand up and try
To slay the dragon.

Written for a friend on deviantART, telling her that she should never give up.

Not In Vain

I know it seems that
Your efforts are in
Vain, you don't seem to
Be doing much, but
Rest assured, your help
Is doing much more than
You seem to think, there's
A time for being
Full on and a time
For picking at things,
Damaging it bit
By bit. Before you
Know it, you will have
Conquered your problem.
It shall be no more.

Getting My Fix

My impatience is
Killing me, I need
To read something. I
Need my fix! If I
Don't get my fix of
Poetry, I lose
Control, I do things
I regret. You don't
Want to know what I
Did to the last fool
Who tried to hold me
Back from reading a
Poem. Poor fool was
In casualty for
Weeks. I need poems!

Written for Ana_Maria because she wanted a poem to read.
Casualty = Place in hospitals where very hurt/ill people go.

Humiliation
Dripping on the floor

Hypothermia

I can feel my blood
running cold as we
speak. With every step
I take, I can feel
my life slipping from
between my frozen
fingers. My breathing's
becoming laboured
and I'm finding it
hard to think straight. I
don't think I'm going
to make it. Please tell
her that I tried my
best, but I can't beat
hypothermia.

Suicide Romance

Suicide romance
seems to be the last
chance of love I have.
I'll either fall head
over heels in love or
crash in a flaming
wreck on the floor. I
remember the last
time I felt love like
this. Euphoric was
the only way to
describe how I felt.
I want to feel that
again. I want to
feel loved once more.

I would ruin my

may ask why being

my life, but being
perfect means that I
have nothing left to
