 This game and the gameplay intrigues me. It will be most like AQ of course, being made with AQ's game engine, but it's not going to be just a re-skinned AQ. The core basics should feel familiar, but the differences have me very eager to play it myself.

As an AE-skeptical friend put it, "AQ+MQ 2.0." It's AQ in space, with races. If you like AQ, then I think you'll love this. That's why I think it's going to be a game I continue playing: I love AQ so much that something with its same engine is awesome.

hmm....hew game.... ok fine but i hope you become more leaniant with those bizarre cash drops in MQ or even dragonfable to a much smaller extent. i want farming to be an option to ease gameplay not a requirement to play past level 10. anyway this looks cool (and i finally get to play an elf) i hope they use the dragonfable combat style, it at least takes stratagy

Agreed there Geno, but I hope there are more differences between WF and AQ than there are between MQ and DF (which play very similarly to me).

Question for someone who knows things about coding: Does using the same game engine automatically mean that Warp Force (an AE game with a two-word title D:) will be turn-based, click-to-attack like AQ, or is it possible that it will work differently? The former seems more likely to me, but I'd like to hear from someone who knows!

...I don't think MQ and DF have the same game engines... their battle systems are totally different. Sure, they're both walkaround, and that might be the deciding factor, I guess. I don't know much about it, but that's what I think.

Urg, I wish we could play as a Viren. That would be too epic for words.
I don't know if I can honestly convey how excited I am for an AQ-style game like this. I mean... it's... I'm speechless... eep.

idk if ill like this game. races and a similarity to AQ is interesting, but i dont care for the future thing much. i did not care for MQ at all to be honest

Me neither, but that was because of the battle system, ridiculous amounts of necessary farming, and the engine. I simply love AQ's interface, and I could have loved MQ if it had come out differently. Therefore I think this will be fantastic.

I hope this game is easier at farming. Farming gold in AQ is torturing .

 DF 's farming and MQ's farming are far worse >.>
and AQW's is kinda alright but still very grind heavy.

@nickwright: In DF most of the things u get are dropped from quest. And in MQ, good items dont costs 700k-1.5mil.

 Looking forward to it's release. Glad to see we ain't just leaving the Network to do what it wishs after all the Trouble it gave us. Just wonder what other planets we'll see and if we are going to encounter The'Galin again. Battle On!!

 @kyorge: DF is very farm heavy, especially for Gold, and to get the best drop, you're going to have to farm and farm and farm that quest until you get it unless you're lucky, in MQ, the prices aren't as steep because Credits are much easier to get, but Exp in MQ is like beating a dead horse, you have to XP-grind like crazy.

I'm just saying AQ may be farm-heavy, but DF and MQ are just as if not moreso farm-heavy.

This is the thing I like most about DF . It is what make DF different from MQ. And I agree with your opinion about MQ.
OK enough with the off topic. This game is built with AQ's engine, so basically it is exactly like AQ?

 It'll probably be along the same lines of AQ's Battle System and how you click on things to go there and whatnot, but otherwise it'll be different art, characters, ect. ect.
Edit and content is going to unlock as we level up, and we'll progress through a linear story and whatnot.

No. It's very similar to AQ. There's a difference between being exactly like and being similar to. The basics really should feel familiar, but as I said, it isn't just a re-skinned AQ.

Wow, this all sounds WAY too interesting for me to pass up. I won't lie though, my love for AQ has withered away. Maybe this game will change my mind and get back to playing it.

I hope they keep farming to minimum I hate farming it ruins the fun of story line

This sounds seriously awesome. I remember Cap'n talked about races in AQ last year. I think he didn't want to interrupt AQ that much, and made this game instead :D I hope this game shall not have new graphics, but it sure will...

I hope not that much of AQ team will go to WF. AQ will still always be the best for me.
